Are Cats on Playoff Bubble?

As you said when we played Davis. And when we played Idaho. And when you played Idaho.

Let’s be honest with ourselves: bub fans have been wildly overestimating msu and woefully underestimating the GRIZ who objectively look like the best team in the bsc.
Where’s that bubtroll who kept using weird words like “chasm” or “divide” to describe the alleged gap between SDSU/MSdUi+ and the rest of the FSC?

He would say dumb shit like, “you guys simply do not understand the vast aperture between our tier and the rest of the FSC.”

BTW, this morning my neighbor offered me his Frisco tix, and hotel! He said he just pulled the trigger on the hotel booking last week although he’s had the tix since the summer which I find funny on several levels. I passed. Not sure hotel bookings are transferable.

I blame myself for the past two season collapses. I bought into the hype around game 5 the last two years and bought game tix and hotel reservations in 21 and 22. This year? NADA.

Good news is, if the Griz DO end up there, my son lives in Frisco, so I don’t need hotel reservations!

Haha this is some awesome trolling on that Twitter response

The more I look into the Cats and Griz, I think both teams have the same problem. Both O-Lines are built for +1 running QBs and not sitting in the pocket and passing. However, I do give that advantage to the Griz because we have 3 QBs who actually can pass, and pass well. The Griz have an OBVIOUSLY better passing game than the cats. And personally I think Gillman is best RB in the Conference and probably top 5 FCS. This kid really fits the definition of "built different." These last 3 games are gonna be entertaining as hell and THANK GOD the bigger games are at home.

This Cats team are a top 10 team, and I’d say their correct placement will reflect tomorrow around 5 or 6. Not to much this year has impressed me with the Cats aside from their offensive line. We have a decent amount of above average players, however, being as one dimensional as we are they lack the crutch they had for years, Troy Andersen. Until they decide to become more balanced where our butts don’t pucker every pass, and don’t get me started on that phony fraud Garza, we will never be ‘a step above’. Only way we make a deep playoff run is we are placed in a bracket similar to 2021.

After two losses they shouldn’t be top 5. Don’t care who they lost to. They have beat one team with a winning record this year.

Discounting your non-scolly and "tough" D2 opponents, that is exactly how many teams the Gris have best with winning records....

Why discount teams that are 6-2 (and 2 time defending D2 national championship team) and 6-3 (including a win over Stetson, whom the Cats played). Cats are 1-2 against teams that are any good.

How many more incorrect things are you going to say this season. Your predictions are dismal. And delusional.

Other than Sac State, what other wins do the kittens have over Big Power house programs?

*Hint: Weber sits at 3-5

So what's youre saying is the the Bubkitties never ever even were on the imaginary upper tier you spent all season trying to hype them up on....

Okay, got it, like all WAAC Bubkittens, you lack any form of credibility

Ah, so if you exclude two teams with winning records and Davis (who sits at .500) THEN the Griz have one win over a team with a winning record. Got it.

Once again, if you take away all the good Griz wins against teams with winning records, the ‘Scats look better.

Of course, that team is a team that beat the bubs, so I'm not sure this is a real strong argument for you,

Fair assessment. After slicing through most defenses, cats found out their running game isn’t going to always carry the day. Tommy Merlot’s four (?) consecutive pass completions was the most effective passing I’ve seen out of msu. Though that was followed by what was it three (?) consecutive incompletions.

As a Griz fan I don’t want this to get out. So don’t tell anyone but the lack of a consistent passing game has been the cat’s Achilles Heel since at least when Choate was first hired.

I have pointed this out multiple times on the Cat forum. Each time I am treated basically like Frankensteins Monster. Tommy and Chambers are great runners, and mediocre to below mediocre passers. Hopefully we have some young talent ready to hop in next year, as I’m not hopeful Tommy can last an entries season. Oh wells, all are great kids and leaders, as are all the Griz.
