Anyone coming to USD game?

Tailgating has improved quite a bit in the last couple of years. I am sure no where close to WaGriz, but still a good time. All the spots in the primary area are already reserved, but you can park in the adjacent parking lot for $5 to $10 and tailgate there. Howlers sports bar is just across the street from the tailgate area for those looking for convenience. It was remodeled this summer and is under new ownership and is an OK spot, but I liked the old place better. Old Lumber Company (sports bar), Carey's (decades old bar), Leo's(somewhere in between the other 2) are all downtown Vermillion and have a better atmosphere than Howlers and in Vermillion, nothing is too far away from the Dome. Safe travels to all.

Travelled through last year and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. It was very close to the Dome as I recall. Clean and nice staff. Good luck to the Coyotes but Go Griz should be a great game.

Gonna be a smash-mouth type battle Saturday against a solid squad who are a much better team at home (14 seconds away from beating a legit top 10 Youngstown squad this last Saturday). Too many games in a row of either the Griz offense showing up and the defense not consistently or vice-versa. Lets put it together coaches and players as the playoffs and possibly a home playoff game is on line, let alone recruiting battles, etc., for the program. My goal for the Griz the rest of the year is to simply block, tackle, scheme, and execute to their abilities. No, I'm not unrealistic and don't expect Griz to be a national title contender this year, but If we want to get back to not being a middle to upper of the pack Big Sky team fighting to make playoffs on years we feel we see potential, we need to be as talented as possible, which starts with recruiting no matter who the coaches are.

Looking forward to catching up with Alpha and I hope a few of you others!

I'm making the drive over from western SD (very near Deadwood, in fact). This will be my first trip to Vermillion. Anyone know what the tailgate situation is like there?
