I haven't heard much. Any insights.

Right, didn't he and kidder both sign priority UDFA contracts prior to camp? From my understanding, that just locks them up to that team. But they still have to prove their worth in these camps correct to move closer to the initial 90 man roster? So I guess I was wondering if they've done well enough in these initial camps to get to the next camp? Maybe I'm confused on the process.

If you sign a priority UDFA contract post draft, you basically are locked into a training camp spot unless you completely bomb at the rookie minicamp. Now if you get a rookie minicamp invite as a tryout player, you are basically trying to earn a UDFA contract from that minicamp tryout. That is why Nelson and Kidder's cases are different than say Brady Gustafson, who got a rookie minicamp tryout. All the rookies and some 2nd and 3rd year fringe roster players take part in the rookie minicamps for each NFL team.

Unfortunately that does not surprise me at all. Speed is the one thing he did not have.
FTG board aside, I was definitely rooting for him

Same. Hard not to pull for a guy like him.

But is he really Little Sullivan Award qualified as best male amateur athlete in the State of Montana this year? I respect him too but not sure if he earned that award.
