Another QB we didn't recruit

You are a liar. Tru had no FBS offers. It had nothing to with grades. I will check on Wilson. And EWU did bring in multiple low academic players UM wouldn’t, with Prop 38 or whatever it was called.
While Tru had no FBS offers, did any fbs show interest? I'd think at least some calls.

Either way, we were fortunate to have him and Jimmy Wilson.

Tru had fbs interest and waited for the fbs until the last week or few days before signing day.

You forgot Indian-Coyote, Hubcap and clucknDuck

Legacy players rarely workout. Tell me the last one signed by the Griz that impacted the program. However, if Lebron's kid wants to come play for the Griz I'm all for it.

Hauck, Fousch.

We signed:

Jaylen Hall
247 ranked 3 star
https://247sports.com/Player/Jaylen-Hall-46098971/

Iverson Young
247 ranked 3 star
https://247sports.com/player/iverson-young-46113020/

Clay Oven
247 ranked 3 star
https://247sports.com/player/clay-oven-46135045/

On top of that we have another 3 star who verbally committed as a drop down DB out of Akron:

Ronald Jackson
https://247sports.com/player/ronald-jackson-46053431/

So that makes four 3 star dudes and five 2 star dudes. I’d say that is a great start and we aren’t done yet.

Thanks for the info on our signees. The real stud from this group (by stars) is Iverson Young. I am a paying member of Rivals.com, and I tend to value their star rankings more than I do 247sports. 247sports has a reputation of giving way more 3-stars to recruits than rivals. It has been alleged that 247sports is better at Western kids than Rivals, but I am not sure if this is true.
To get a comparison of how Rivals ranks our class, here it is:

Rivals does not even have Jaylen Hall in their prospect database.

Iverson Young is rated a 3-star by Rivals, with several FBS offers. Great get for us.
https://n.rivals.com/content/athletes/iverson-young-284311?view=pv

Clay Oven is a 2-star Rivals ranking, with offers from us, MSU, and North Dakota
https://n.rivals.com/content/athletes/clay-oven-298925?view=pv

Ronald Jackson was a 2-star Rivals ranking, but had 9 FBS offers! Should be a good get
https://n.rivals.com/content/athletes/clay-oven-298925?view=pv

I'll have to admit, I had not checked the Rivals rankings for our signees. They are ranked pretty high. Keep in mind that a Rivals 2-star ranking is often equal to a 3-star ranking by 247. Good post, and thanks for the info. My criticism of this class was obviously too harsh, except for our continued failure to sign a QB who other FCS teams coveted. I just don't see how we can miss offering 3-4 solid QBs from our primary recruiting area (CA, OR, WA), when many of our Big Sky rivals are after these same kids. Vernon Adams, Eric Bariarre, the two Idaho QB signees from the past two seasons.

We are also after 3 star Hawaii drop down Riley Wilson. Had offers from Indiana and Hawaii and was getting a look from Arkansas. He was playing LB at Hawaii I believe

https://247sports.com/player/riley-wilson-46082239/

He has been posting Griz stuff on social media so usually a good sign.

Jordan Tripp

Coyle was better than Tripp

Idaho is definitely back as a emerging power in the Big Sky. Their early signing class was 23 kids, with three 3-star kids, including a 3-star QB from Tulatin, OR named Jack Wagner. And they accomplished this with a second-year coach. Oregon is a state we recruit in. Did we even know about this kid???

Wagner had Big Sky offers from Idaho, Montana State, and Portland State, but not from us. Instead, we sign an in-state kid who we will make a safety.

Just another example of Hauck's lack of ability to sign solid high school QBs.

WhoDaHo has 13 players in the portal compared to our 2. I'd rather be in the position we're in. You're free to go jump on their bandwagon since you're so envious, you won't be missed.

Looks like Eck is cleaning house and running off a lot of dead weight from his predecessor. He had a huge recruiting class to replace those portal players. Idaho will be very young this comming season, but Eck is doing things right in the re-building process, and will be a force in a year or two.
Too bad you can't engage in an intelligent discussion about one of our rival schools without getting all pissy.

It what you're going to see happen here in a couple years.

Yep now he’s 6’2 220 lbs and runs 21 mph according to a video I saw. Can fly around and is physical. Would be good pick up for sure.

Did we miss on recruiting Bryce Young, Max Duggan and CJ Stroud too? My impression is that we are missing out on recruiting at least 1,000 qb's every year. What's up?

Yes, we did. And I’m pissed as hell at Bobby and his band of merry men for not offering those three.

It appeared that the recruiting this year was primarily Montana kids. The good news is they probably aren’t portal candidates.

Wasn't it the Montana kids who hit the portal in 2022 with Sulser and Buschini?

This doom scroll thread is asinine. You could cherry pick QBs for another 20 pages. Let's hope it doesn't get to that.

If they didn't come to Griz Summer Camp, how could the staff ever know if they were any good? No way to evaluate.

Duggan was our kind of guy. From podunk Iowa, Council Bluffs.

From Wiki...

"Council Bluffs' population was 62,799 at the time of the 2020 census, making it the state's tenth largest city.[6] The Omaha metropolitan region of which Council Bluffs is a part, is the 58th largest in the United States, with an estimated population of 967,604 (2020)."
