They probably have done that to some extent, but I still think you're projecting your fan view on what's best for the team over what is a very personal choice for these guys.

Some of the numbers being thrown at good/young OL are massive. Last year a MSU tackle got over a million to go to michigan state.

Two thoughts.
First like I said with Wilkenson but agents are just combing all American or all conference lists at these lower levels and getting to these kids offering a lot of expectations of a bag of money of some amount. I’m sure they will find a landing spot but from what I’ve seen these agents are really over promising.
Second, I wonder if this emphasizes local recruiting more.

The real point here is that the Cats lose o linemen every year to the portal and they have an elite S&C program and develop well enough that they can sustain those losses. None of the other top tier teams in the FCS have been exempt from the portal.
This is the dumbest post. They will have some too once Monday hits.
This is semi-pro football now. It’s largely about the money anymore.
