Really no different than me talking to myself in the shower about the demise of the bubcats. Means nothing to 99.99% of MT. I want to cite or FW a link that people might actually open. As it stands, most have no clue, the bubz want to silence it, and incredibly the media does too. It’s crazy.
Sounds like you are afraid to put pen to paper and need to to try to explain this excuse orally, which means you are either bias towards the catz or something worse.
You came here to sling your stuff or seek validation and I will continue to call you out until you put it in ink.
You don’t have to write about it. You can continue to chose not to cover the biggest sports story in the state at a time when there is no other sports story to cover, and I will continue to call you out when you come here.
Really no different, give or take that we have a substantial audience and you post on a message board under an anonymous name.
You must live in 1994. You do realize that audio content gets about 1,000 times the traffic written content does nowadays? There’s a reason I partnered with ESPN and shifted to radio and do most of our content production on Skyline in the form of podcasts. Because that’s what you all show what you want by engaging in the content. Audio analytics blow written story analytics out of the water.
This is another place you’re confused. You want a written story. There have been quite a few. This was reported on when it happened by 406, MTN, SWX and ESPN MT. Then it was commentated on by us on ESPN MT. So what other reporting is there to do? You want comment from the President and the AD? They aren’t giving it. And the demise of local media means that reporters can’t just go stake out the president’s office. You won’t get a comment regardless, but we also have so much other stuff to cover.
Is it a column you want? A commentary giving opinions on the alleged crime and the handling of it? What would the difference be between that and a podcast giving commentary, opinion and insight into the process of reporting stories like this?
In terms of your assertion I’m here for validation, I’ve been in the media business for 17 years. There’s no validation to be found. I’m here to run and promote a business and to make money. That’s it.
We have an agreement with the board mods, hence the sticky thread on the front page.
The most amazing thing is that I could write stories about all your favorite Griz and you’d never read them. We did it for years. Very low engagement compared to any radio/podcasts we produce now. But you’d click on a salacious crime story about the rival 1,000 times. Amazing and baffling all at once.
