Alex Bienemann

I have never met Alex, and I'm CERTAIN he is as frustrated as any other Griz player is, BUT, when it comes to recruiting, I FEEL PRETTY CONFIDENT, Alex will sell every recruit he hosts this year hard on becoming the next Montana Grizzlies. The worry over recruiting is so over-rated right now it's not even funny. The SCHOOL and the football program are trying to deal with and overcome a lot more than that. And if anyone thinks Alex will try to steer potential recruits away from Montana over the course of the next year simply because he got into an argument with the head coach, maybe you should have a heart-to-heart chat with him about it.

Where are you coming up with this BS, who ever said that Alex would be detrimental in a presentation to future recruits .

And if you don't think that recruiting is not important, not at this time but all the time you are sadly mistaken.

So, you mind explaining what other accusations this program is trying to deal with. The Donaldson situation is all but over, and Jordy Johnson's day in court is soon to arrive. And without the outrageous press coverage of both, this would have been dealt with thru court proceedings, the way it should have been handle.

Hopefully Alex didn't just lose his summer no-show job that pays $20/hour, or his free legal representation should he get into legal trouble.

Oh, wait... :?

As someone who met the Bienemann family, rest assured, he would not need any of it.

This entire thread is BS, and should be deleted by the mods here.

No reason to call out a player on egriz...

So far the only BS is in your posts, and who in this entire thread called out any player.

Stating a fact, that many witness, is not calling a player out, it's just exhibiting his frustration, which he entitled to and earned.

Any word on Alex? He get the boot, or the bench?

The North Dakota games notes released on gogriz.com still show him as first on the depth chart. They have been pretty good about updating the depth chart this year.

Unless he slugs the coach, what's the big deal?

Because there is a lot of speculation that Delaney's role is to clean up the program, and as such, he has been making players sit out games. While I don't know if this is true, I does sound plausible.

If Bienemann did in fact have to be restrained after last weeks game, I would assume that would be a punishable offense.

Bienenmann is fine. Everything worked out and cool. No big deal. He will continue to kick ass for the Griz d-line.

Good deal, glad everything is cool off.

Football is an emotional game. You see it all the time where there are clashes between coaches and players. I think when the dust clears everyone will sit down, have their input and move on. Any discipline will be done within the team framework. Cooler heads will prevail and the relationship between Alex and the coaching staff will be fine. In my opinion this is a one-time shot with him and it will be put behind him.

Good luck to Alex and the Griz.

You sound reasonable and I hope you are correct, but from Delaney's previous actions - it will likely not be the case. The real question for me is the attitude of the other coaches. Do we have a mutiny at hand?

What previous actions? Delaney believes in discipline, but he's fair and reasonable. He's probably tougher than Pflu, but not as hard-ass as Hauck.
I think Adam Brezeck disagrees....as well as Nate Harris. May not be a hard ass, but a dumbass when it comes to favoritism.

What gripe would they have? Favoritism? I doubt it. Certainly not with the qb.

May not "be" favoritism, but it sure as hell looks that way...where is his willingness to not put Tully back there game after game though he repeatedly misses tackles? And he's angry because "Brez didn't run the ball for 2 plays" like he was supposed to? Please.

Please to you. UM had 3 of its top 5 safeties not even suited up last week, and you don't want to play Tully. Are you saying that Harris should play in place of Tully? Tully has played pretty well the past several games. UM is playing McKinney virtually all of games, as we try to win. If a player doesn't do what the coaches tell him to do when they put him in, then it shouldn't be surprising if they put someone else him. S-H knows the offense very well, knows what to do, doesn't make many mistakes, and has the confidence of the coaches to do that.

if you were a head coach and you put your new transfer QB into the game with very specific plays called and he changed the plays you called at the line without your permission, wouldn't that miff you just a tiny bit??

Hauck probably would have booted him. Not the way Adam should have started his Griz career.

Gotcha...but...that was last game. Tully has been missing tackles and blowing coverage all year. Are you telling me we've only hand 2/3 safties all year? And...who do you mean by "S-H?" (not taking jabs, just curious).

Tully has 2 good games in a row. S-H is our backup qb. I think UM has 6 safeties, one of whom has been out for the season starting 3 or 4 games ago. Besides the starters, there's now Rominger, a true frosh (Gamboa) and a redshirt (Gratton). Gamboa didn't suit up last week, nor did Hermansen.

Ah. Thanks for clarifying.
