How about recruiting 2 QB's who aren't spread QB's? If that wasn't a weird sign I don't know what was. You can't even put in a backup QB as your offense is built around the spread. No Kemp? At least he can throw 'somewhat' accurately.

Just one quick correction, he was the head coach UM-Western from 91-92. His record was 5 wins, 11 losses, and 1 tie. So he did have some head coaching experience.

Well, if you would have witnessed what was going on the sidelines, it might have explained the lack of effort for that last touchdown, that not being an excuse for as you say the total quit job, however it is a problem that more than likely will not take care of it self. And that is a coaches job.

I agree totally with this post. And with our off field issues, coaching staff issues, and losing record we are quickly losing the infamous "the Griz program recruits itself". Our recruiting has dropped off tremendously over the last three years...and the Big Sky has improved. Hope I'm wrong but I think we are in for some tough years ahead...

I have the great respect for Alex, and if it didn't happen I surely would not have post it, however there is a lot going on and the more that is know the more will be understood.

Frankly, I think Alex was frustrated not by his action, but by actions of other.

You know if I had evil intention, I would have included the phone video in the post, however nobody will see that other than Alex's father if he wishes the next time he visits our tailgate.

And you are right, I abhor misspelling, although spell check does not do last names. Sorry


Hammer, my point of this post is not to denigrate, Alex or any of the coaches, however this season is going to mean a lot to the football program.

If the season ends up worse than what has transpired thus far, think about it, what will it do to recruiting, not to say anything about the continuity of the coaching staff, when its time for Delaney to be replaced, will that replacement come from existing coaches, and if a new head coach comes in, with a horrendous season, what incoming coach is going to consider any of the existing staff, to sum this up, this is a real fubar.

I have never met Alex, and I'm CERTAIN he is as frustrated as any other Griz player is, BUT, when it comes to recruiting, I FEEL PRETTY CONFIDENT, Alex will sell every recruit he hosts this year hard on becoming the next Montana Grizzlies. The worry over recruiting is so over-rated right now it's not even funny. The SCHOOL and the football program are trying to deal with and overcome a lot more than that. And if anyone thinks Alex will try to steer potential recruits away from Montana over the course of the next year simply because he got into an argument with the head coach, maybe you should have a heart-to-heart chat with him about it.

I really hope this isn't the case but it wouldn't surprise me. Alot of this team was recruited by Plugrad in hopes of continueing on a proud tradition and in the end they are dealing with a mess. IMO IF the players, not just one, and some coaches are not buying into Delaney's methods he should do the honorable thing and resign immediately and let Scott Graig finish the season. I honestly believe that the majority of the players are good hard working kids with a bright future.

If in fact the issue is over exagerated just knock the shit out of the cats and call it a day.

Actually, yes they were. Every sophomore, RS freshman and freshman was recruited by Pflu and that's over half the team...
