If it is all about mechanics, how do you explain Colin Kaepernick and Matthew Stafford?

Are you being this silly on purpose? You don't hold up physical specimens with with enough talent to overcome poor mechanics, as an example and say, "see, who needs mechanics?" Spoken like a true ten cent head without the million dollar body.

Oh oh, another football expert pops up to challenge! So, mechanics only matter for poor physical specimens? By the way, that may have been the cheesiest expression I've seen anybody use on here.[/quote]

Lol Actually, no i pitched in professional baseball and have just a bit more knowledge in this particular area, obviously. So wait, now mechanics ARE important to you? I thought 2 examples of guys that thrive without polished mechanics beautifully illustrated your point that they must not matter at all lol classic. Are you ok over there, mike? Bi polar run in the family?

Either you were purposely playing dumb and twisting my point, or your reading comprehension is comparable to a 7th grader in Detroit, so I'll have to spell it out for ya...

Mechanics are for EVERYONE...the bigger the stud, the more likely he is to get away with poor mechanics...you can't possibly misunderstand or refute that...you'd be wise to not even waste your time replying, but that's probably giving you a little too much credit

Easy there big boy, no need to be angry or rude. You're right, I do understand, and can't refute, your point. In fact, I appreciate your expert knowledge. I was really only trying to make a couple simple points when you arrived. First, when people want to trash or support one quarterback or another on this site they often choose only one aspect of the quarterback's skill set to support their opinion. Some choose speed, some accuracy, some arm strength, some mechanics. My second point was in response to those who were focused on mechanics. It seems to me that you can be a good, even great, quarterback without great mechanics. Do you disagree?

Every quarterback is some combination of speed, accuracy, arm strength, mechanics, decision-making, and intangibles like drive, desire, etc. etc. I'm sure the people with more knowledge can expand that list, but good quarterbacks are good for different reasons. What you see on here is people citing a quarterback's mechanics because they think it ends the argument - because it sounds like the one thing a quarterback can't fix no matter what else they do to improve.

Northwest, I guess one of us could look it up and see who's right, but I don't remember Brez being overhyped at all when he anno9unced his transfer. In fact I remember the most common themes were: "Who the hell is he?" and "Nothing wrong with more QB competition." If anybody claimed they knew Brez was good before fall camp, they were lying. The hype later in the season pretty much came from Alpha and Growler and it was because they both want anyone but an african american playing quarterback for their beloved Griz. In fact, they would both rather see YOU playing QB than Trent McKinney.

I watched Brzeczek play for Queen Creek in Arizona dumbass. I thought he was pretty good and so did Jim Harbaugh.

When he came to the Griz and I saw him in fall drills there is no doubt who the most talented QB on our roster was. He has the best arm we have had at UM in the last 14 years. Very accurate and hes mobile something no other QB on our roster was able to do.

You fu*king idiots can keep trashing the kid all you want but hes the single best player to never get at shot at UM. Our loss not his.

:agree:

The coaches single biggest mistake last season was not playing Adam, in my opinion. Clearly the best QB in camp. :-x
