Absolutely Unofficial Sac State Game Thread

Does Amazon have overnight shipping on chill pills? Cause a bunch of you need some right now. It's one loss, not the end of the world. Sac State is really good, the Griz don't suck, and life goes on.
amen. bunch of freaking fair weather fans make me sick. funny thing same fickle fans will be pissing all over themselves when we win out.
Double amen.

Cripes. Yes, that was a beat-down. The Griz ran into a really good -– and "under-ranked" -- team that was on fire from the start. But at the end of the day, the Griz 5-2 (5-1 against FCS).

In case you missed it, two other top-10 teams also lost, both to unranked team, including Furman losing at home to a 3-4 Citadel.

So as "Mom" says, time to Chill Out.

in my opinion we don’t beat Weber, Eastern or msu without Sneed, and if Humphrey keeps taking shots like he did we won’t have him either.

But how can they be so good, so quickly and we still don't have our team ?

Great question. I am just a fan not a football analyst so my opinion isn't worth much. However I think they had really good athletes all along and were decimated by injuries and their coaching staff couldn't win with what they had left. They made coaching changes, their athletes got healthy and here we are. Troy Taylor has proven he can coach but he's doing it with someone else's recruits so we really won't have a handle on how well his program is going to perform long term for another year or two. I seem to remember a Griz coach or two who looked fabulous to begin with and then fizzled out once their recruits were in place.

But it's one game. We could win out and they could drop one or two... It's football and you just never know what can happen.

Ok. I’m on record for weeks saying Sac was very good. But I didn’t expect Griz to play so poorly. Just a lot of inexplicable things in this game, like giving up a score with 40-odd seconds left in the half. How do you not signal the DBs to get deep? How do we come up with a scheme to cover Dotson with a DE? Lots of uncharacteristic Griz penalties that probably gift Sac 14 points or more. Griz will bounce back I’m sure. Humphrey is going to have to get it done for a while looks like.

RTD?
DOLA?

Aren’t you guys having issues of your own? Or have you been waiting 7 weeks to be able to come o here and gloat?

Yeah, I was laughing about this also. The team you root for, the preseason pick, is 3-4, but you want to talk smack on the Griz message board because they lost to one of the many teams that they lost too.

Yes, I did come here to talk smack. Hey, maybe a top 4 seed is still in the grizzies future. Like I said back in August, the EAGS big receivers are going to own the grizzies tiny DBs. That is all for now.

I guess beating Montana is the Eagles championship for this year.

There was a lot of smack talk last week about Cat fans melting down after the loss to Sac State and Griz fans mocking Cat fans about Sac being a top 10 team. Talk of Sacs line being dominant were absurd to a 5-1 Griz team. After watching the game tonight I am not sure if I have seen a Griz that werw completely dominated at the LOS since the 2004 NCG against JMU. What are the others thoughts?

UM lost to JMU by 31-21. TO was 446, JMU, to 415. UM threw 29-38 for 370 yards.

Why wasn’t Sulser deep on kickoffs?

He didn’t make the trip

My memory is foggy, but feel like the last time we saw him on the field, he dropped a pass. Ball security is job security. Good thing we don't have a similar saying for safeties continually getting burned in pass coverage.

Good point. Also, if that’s the standard, we will be down even more WRs next week.
