The best part about this thread is nobody is bitching or whining. Can you imagine if this was the case over on BN?

coach bohl's mindset entering the playoffs.
stay healthy
in a short amount of time, get acclimated to the different scheme's

he is all about preparation and he shows it week in and week out.....
ty did an amazing job with msu and he will have to do his homework again against bohl's team

the griz offense has the talent and the o line coordinator will have to come up with an answer for our huge lineman to defend jj with enough time to make the pass...to control the field......we will not beat them with our running game...as ndsu has this dialed in with a head coach that runs his team as well and is a master on defense.

the Bobcats didn't even make it in and yet they are complaining about our number 8 seed on Bobcat

In order to be the best, you have to beat the best! How great would it be to beat NDSU at their place and rub it in State's face?!

At least we'll show up.

You see, a grizzly will never back down, we can't hide our tails between our legs.....

I believe we get Bethune Cookman. They have a strong defense. Start warming up Jordy, get out some extra padding. If our O-line doesn't protect, he is going to have to pick himself up a lot if this comes to be...

With brackets, you can parse them either way. I like our placement.

First, a week off to rest, recuperate, and catch up on studies.

Second, hosting a second round game vs. a relative playoff neophyte institution.

Third, playing NDSU with the one week of preparation rather than the extended time between semis and finals. I have lots of respect with how they shut down SHSU the past two years with the extra prep time. Reviewing the past couple years' brackets NDSU has been in three one score games in the quarters/semifinals.

Fourth, if the Griz and Eagles are good enough to eventually meet, the Griz won't be on The Rag.

What a challenge. Montana v. NDSU will be the last game of the season for one team and the first game of the season for both teams in 2014. A football fan has to like that setup

....would be, we don't know yet if it will be.

We would have to play the bison eventually anyway... so I'm not sure why everyone is so upset.

No one seems upset in this thread. Who are you referring to?
I actually don't mind the 8 seed. Griz were almost certainly playing on the road in the quarter finals, and we all know it is difficult to win on the road, and if you are going to lose I would rather it be to the best team in the country than get jobbed on a few bad calls to say the #3 or 4 seed. On the other hand, what an epic opportunity for the Griz. NDSU is the better team, but as long as Montana wins the home game first they have a chance.

I wonder if Bobby Hauck will go to Fargo for the game, give a pregame speech, remind the players of his first loss against NDSU in what was then the biggest win of that programs history, then compare and contract that to beating James Madison for the Griz first playoff road win. Griz would be motivated for sure.

There will be a couple of hours devoted to ndsu tape this week, I would think...

Just read some of the postal AGS about seeding, and many of the posters over there are crying foul that UM got the #8 seed over NAU.

I coulda seen that coming. What a pathetic fan base. They are always whining about something.

There is a valid argument for NAU. I would bet it was a pretty close decision.

I'm surprised the brackets weren't fiddled to get a Griz/EWU game in the third round. Doing so would have eliminated the need to charter a plane for the game.

I was thinking about that earlier, apparently the new system is going to be more true to seeds and less concerned with geography.

This kind of sucks. We deserved at least the #6 or #7 slot where we could have had two home games. Trying to be optimistic but second round game in Fargo might be the end of the line. That club cannot be defeated.
