This kind of sucks. We deserved at least the #6 or #7 slot where we could have had two home games. Trying to be optimistic but second round game in Fargo might be the end of the line. That club cannot be defeated.

Second round game is at home. You don't even know what ur talking about!

Lol I meant third round oops (was thinking second game physically played hence the bye week)... Overreaction though... Griz will just have to play out of their minds which we all know they are capable of and then possibly get another home game or two.

It just would have been fun being being able to attend a couple more home playoff games in person in Missoula instead of heading to another dome where we usually do not play our best football (in domes).

Let's do it though! The team seems to be gelling pretty well at this point and lets fire on all cylinders!

Why did we deserve a higher seed? Being a 5, 6, 7 or 8 wouldn't have gotten us another home game unless a higher seed went down (in our case, NDSU) in the 2nd round.

even a 6 or 7 seed would only guarantee 1 home game.

We're 2 out of three in domes this year alone. I'm more concerned about Dec. 7th right now and would be excited to watch Montana play ndsu. I really think we would hang with them and it would be a great game.
Go Griz!!

Yes this is correct. I just woke up a little groggy this morning. I was just thinking one of the other higher seeds would have a better chance of going down before that machine that is NDSU. As I stated in my previous post though, you are all correct in welcoming the beast NDSU. To be the best you have to beat the best, lets do this!

With brackets, you can parse them either way. I like our placement.

First, a week off to rest, recuperate, and catch up on studies.

Second, hosting a second round game vs. a relative playoff neophyte institution.

Third, playing NDSU with the one week of preparation rather than the extended time between semis and finals. I have lots of respect with how they shut down SHSU the past two years with the extra prep time. Reviewing the past couple years' brackets NDSU has been in three one score games in the quarters/semifinals.

Fourth, if the Griz and Eagles are good enough to eventually meet, the Griz won't be on The Rag.

My thoughts exactly, the Griz have a favorable 2nd round match-up with a southern team and if someone is going to beat NDSU it is going to be before Frisco because they are almost unbeatable with two weeks to prepare. Plus Maine at #5 is a complete joke, especially with the potential rematch with UNH in the 2nd round (who just beat Maine 24-3).

IMO the Griz path to the championship will have to go through Coastal Carolina, NDSU, SE Louisiana, and then EIU.

DEFENSE! Penetration has been better as of late giving Linebackers the range to excell. Offense patience is showing more cohesiveness between staff's calls and actual game situations. Griz are potentially peaking more each game. You gotta love our chances!

It was pretty clear the seeding was to try and set up some good games in the second round and quarters. NAU possibly going to EWU, Montana going to NDSU. I think the Griz played their way up to a much better seed but at least ahead of Maine and McNeese, but the committee didn't agree. Oh welL. HOW MANY POSTERS ON THIS BOARD WHINED ABOUT NOT PLAYING A GOOD ENOUGH SCHEDULE AND ASKED WHY WE DON'T PLAY NDSU? Well, provided the Griz play well next Saturday, you will now get to see the Griz play at NDSU twice in less than a year. So that whining thing can stop now.
