I rarely post here, I came here 20 years ago to get news about recruits, thank you Paytonlives for your yeomans work in this area. The rest of egriz has been largely disappointing. But I digress…this is going to be very long, but what I have say about the 37 tradition will be made clear. I hate the tradition, I have met Kraig, not impressed…Tim I also met, I like him. My earliest memory of life is on the high line , then the pine hills of eastern Montana, and eventually a valley in western Montana. My father was a teacher and coach, he coached Gary Warhank in junior high, then Jack O’Connor in junior high… the 1971 Baker Spartans who defeated 3M were kids he coached…because my father coached, I got to see players like Willie Weeks, George Yellow Eyes, Oliver Flying, Brent Wilson, Sam McCollum, Pat Donovan, Gerry Ready ( to this day I am jealous of the Laurel Locomotives, their cute cheerleaders in Oshkosh by gosh overalls, doing the locomotive cheer, totally awesome) later, Barney Smart Enemy, Jonathon Takes Enemy, great basketball players. Here is my long awaited point, I am as Montanan as one can get, but, I was I was born in Northeast Washington state, not my choice obviously. I cannot support a tradition that leaves out people who were not fortunate to be born here. Personally, I would run backwards through a brick wall for the Grizzlies. Please, change the tradition or get rid of it.
