#3 and the road goes through Bozeman

Agreed, but that’s what you get when you are #1 in the country. They have definitely earned that spot. Griz could have turned the apple cart upside down a bit if they would have won yesterday. That would have made #2’s road a whole lot easier.

Both have to get by tough teams first. SDSU and Youngstown will be battles.

This! You really cannot understate how tough these two games could be. I am actually happy the Griz don’t have Youngstown. I think they are the tougher of the two teams. Mainly due to injuries for SDSU. Griz got the better draw in my humble opinion. Still going to be tough, but we are in the playoffs. Time to quit whining and start winning.

Youngstown barely beat No Iowa. You serious?

Maybe, but I doubt it. A loss might just be what this Griz team needed. Seems like they haven’t gelled as a team, which drives me crazy. Maybe this loss helps them pull together. Also, maybe it helps the coaches figure out starting O line that they can stick with. For the love of God - someone figure out the high snaps.
lord jeezus,, i pray of thee...

I would say you can’t equate playing a whole game to gelling as a team. This is very much a cohesive group of guys that like going into battle together and have all season. They have a bond and a brotherhood.

Yesterday was a complete game against equal competition. We didn’t like the outcome, but they were up to the task. A few mistakes made the difference. Cats made some plays down the stretch. It’s a game of inches and we fell short. I don’t think our guys will be hanging their heads.

I agree that they need to fine tune now and decide who the man is at certain positions. Whoever it is got enough reps all season. If it’s Amick or Johnson at tackle or Botner or Klimczak at Center. Consistency from here on.

Fair enough. It is very safe to say they have not played a complete game yet!

If they do play a complete game at their top level, how high is this groups ceiling?
It’s a good question and one has to wonder if the BSC and Missouri Valley are evenly matched this year. The Griz put together a full game and they might be able to win the whole thing. Having said that, I hate the 3-3-5. Although it looked like they mixed up the fronts yesterday so it wasn’t a pure 3-3-5. I would love to see a four man front and make teams beat them with the passing game. Yes, I know the secondary has issues!!
