3-3-5 Discussion

Just talked to a TCU receiver from last year, for a half hour. At Grimaldis in Scottsdale. He still lives near TCU. Has player ticket. Says he knows 80% of the team. Says they love the 3-3-5, and the coach.

Talked to a custodian at the R Bar and 100% of the Cat players love 3-3-5 and the coach.
I talked to several after the '21 game and they said it should be illegal.

I bet they did. If you go back and watch that game it was't dominate. If they would have played Mellott the whole game the same result would have happened. Even the Cats coaches saw that when they watched film and shitcanned their QB going into the playoffs.

TCU uses it and is in the playoffs. Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma aren't.

Ha Ha Ha. You live in a fantasy world, where you have instant availability to any and every individual who you can name-drop to advance your ridiculous narrative. You lie so much that you can't keep them all straight. Let us know the date when you will meet president Biden. I'm sure it can't be far off.

What I can't figure out is how a guy can constantly get his balls kicked in on a message board, yet continue to come back for more. Sounds like a classic case of masochism.

Have never had balls kicked on egriz and never will. I enjoy taking on 10 or 15 dummies like yourself.

Pffff, dummies that get the vast majority of FCS game predictions right, whereas you're batting like, 10 percent? I thought you'd be way better at your predictions, having played the game and all.

BTW, did you ever talk to your boy Bobby about why he went out and tried to recruit the dirty player that knocked your star QB out of the game with an intentional, dirty hit? That one was really surprising to me. I guess it's no wonder Bobby's locker room is so fuhgged up.

I rarely predict games. I mostly pick against the Cats. Partly to tease Cat posters. I got the So Dak St game right. I don’t care who Bobby recruits. The Griz locker room is good.

If you are going to run that D you need a ML backer and 2 safeties that are kick ass. IMO

That’s what we had. Pre-season FCS defensive mvp. 2 time first team all American. Speedy transfer from Oregon St. Over 200 lbs.

Allowing 204 yards total offense, 82 of it in a meaningless 29-3 drive in garbage time to 48 seconds remaining is what I would call dominant. 96 yards rushing.

Kem, not to diminish our only win in several years over the Cats, but at least admit that their QB was total garbage, was not 100% healthy, and that was the reason their offense sputtered in that game.

In 2022, Mellott stated following their thrashing of our defense, that MSU knew that they could exploit our 3-3-5 with their running game....... and knew which plays would be effective against it. It worked to perfection, of course, and our coaches made no adjustments during the game to stop it, 400+ yards later. The numbers don't lie. Giving up almost 1000 rushing yards to two opponents means your defense can not stop a great running team.

Although it doesn't explain the rushing performance, this excuse works, but Johnson being injured for key games, many on the road, is just a lame excuse. Got it.

Yeah, I wasn’t aware their QB was hurt. He started and looked fine (just ineffective). And Mellott was just as ineffective, so not sure where he’s going with this theory. It was total, complete domination from the opening kickoff to the very end.

It is an excuse and all excuses are lame.

Fiesta bowl tailgates hopping. Everyone discussing 3-3-5. Sunny.

The 3-3-5 gave up 45 to Alabama. How come Alabama doesn't run that defense? They have the best players in the country year in and year out.

Yes, every issue is decided based on one half of a random game. Great analysis.
