2026 Griz Regular Season Predictions

I just read up an ANSRS.AI. That's crazy. I can see why they want to use it, but now, based on what I read, it takes the fun out of the game for me.

So a coach is letting a computer run play calls. Is there a purpose for a coach?

Just get a personnel manager, athletic trainer, dietician, and when the team plays games, just provide the captains iPads and let them call the plays based on camera's in the booth.

No more need to pay millions for head coaches anymore. In fact, just get rid of the human players, because it's too dangerous and put in AI driven robots. Then they can capture all of the data, analyze it. I hate tech sometimes.
Wouldn’t it just require an adjustment. Let’s say it’s so predictable that you use certain play calls 60-70% of the time in certain situations, Wouldn’t you use the software on yourself to break your own tendencies or adjust your game planning?

You’re not allowed to use it during the game, only as prep correct?

AI is way smarter than other kinds of intelligence. Wait, I’m talking about my neighbor, Al, not some fancy-schmancy computer thingamabob.

Yes, you can use it to predict what the defense will be as well. It works both ways. Now if you can just get it to predict in real time what the defense will do in response to the offense changing up their predicable calls so they run the best unpredictable play against the most predicable defense, you might see the best unpredictable predictable outcome. If you want to know who's on first, ask AI.

You're asking the wrong person about that. I knew that they were using something on the sidelines and in the booth. I wasn't aware of what it was. I am not inherently anti-AI, but I don't think it's appropriate for making all of the decisions. We are dealing with it at work right now, and it's cost a couple of good employees, and there have been some really dumb decisions made because of leadership relying on AI to make the calls for them. That's why it bothers me.
