2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

Afalava DT Idaho already offers from Wazzu and San Diego State. The offers that these Big Sky kids are getting almost instantly is wild. Would love to know how many offers we have out there. Unfortunately Bobby runs our recruiting like it's the CIA. Probably won't really know much until February is my guess.

yes agreed....in 35 days it won't be business as usual...the door will open for all to see..
government lawlessness (except for the Bidens they have pardon each other ) it will start
to be exposed on both sides...got popcorn...........back 2 football.
Trump plans to pardon himself and the Jan 6 piece of craps... 😂 Both parties are trash, honestly. Conservatives just happen to be trashier.

We will know most transfers by Jan 16th (spring semester). There will be a few that transfer after, but the majority will be here for winter condo.

Here’s another transfer issue that doesn’t bode well for an FCS roster. Transfers are more likely to want a full scholarship. So are recruits from out of state.

The Griz have for years done a good job balancing full scholarships needed for competitive offers to out of state recruits with partial scholarships for in state recruits, in some cases no scholarship for in state recruits. A lot of portal recruits makes that more difficult, too, I’ll bet.
NIL is the wildcard now. What you lose in scholarship flexibility can be replaced with cold hard cash.

That's why the strength of the fundraising is super important now.

Haven’t suffered the losses that Idaho has at least. That’s rough for them.
Depending on who Idaho hires, they might bring the best of the best from their team with them to lessen the sting, but if hire is from within or an assistant from another school it will be a massive makeover. Either way probably added more competition for UM in the portal search as I don't see their playmakers moving laterally (or even arguably down) to UM

alabamagrizzly gave a good answer to recruiting issues earlier this year when we had this type of discussion. He said that there was a lot more FBS teams than several years ago taking more players. He mentioned that there is not as many quality players left to play in the FCS. Only so many to be had.
It seems logical. Sure you can mention the Dakotas have good players but when your the best you get the best of what's left.
Memory seems good to me ol’ timer😁.
