I think it's a decent offer, but saying it's better than "an offer from any fcs team" is ludicrous.

It's not to NFL scouts. NMSU plays better competition. It's not even about being on that team, it's who you play and how well you do. SDSU got rolled by a horrible Oklahoma St team that probably wasn't or isn't any better than NMSU.

OSU had 3 wins this year. 1 against FCS SDSU. Had 2 FBS wins... Colorado blew them out 52-0. The same Colorado that barely snuck by NDSU.

Any FBS team, is higher regarded than FCS teams. 8 out of 10 times if a kid is offered to go to even a low tier FBS team they'll pick that over several fcs offers. It's reality. The FBS title is all it takes.
