Or, we raise student athletic fees and both universities request more state money to be on a more even playing field with other universities. Why aren’t we funded like other d1 universities and why don’t we charge similar student fees?

Montana could also add a sales tax with a certain portion going to all institutions that are publicly funded and classified as higher education. What do I know though. I mean tourism is only #2 for generating revenue. Why have other states pay a large burden of our taxes, when we can continue to saddle the citizens of Montana! Yes, get rid of state income tax if you have to. For the love of all things good, move into the 21st century.

Not true. Army lost to Yale in their FCS venue in 2014. Fun game - Yale didn't have a lead in the game until the final play in OT.

Certainly an exception to the rule...so rare you might have to go back generations to find another example.

Generally speaking you are correct, however you have to be careful with blanket statements. Idaho came to Missoula and played us more than once when they were I-A(FBS). Yes there was already an established history/rivalry there but it does negate your statement.

That was then, 20 years ago; the comment was for now. No FBS conferences allow their members to play at FCS venues. Period.
