2024 FCS Opening Game Schedule of Interest

What is my plan? Did I make clear enough or do you need futher explanation?
That we should be scheduling easy wins against low level opponents in order to get the young QBs time in a live game. You mentioned Ah Yat, but could also be Huot or Flowers conceptually, I assume.

I just disagree. No disrespect, man, I'd just rather schedule the games we do schedule, and get the whole team ready for conference play rather than waste a game against highly inferior competition to "get the young guy ready." I think the point CDA made is strong, in that practice reps against the first team Griz defense are worth more than reps against the NAIA or D3 teams.

I appreciate your thoughts. Keep them coming. I've agreed with things you have said. I just disagree with this concept.

I would rather play some of the games we schedule also and some with better quality teams. But it seems no matter who we play we cannot seem to get the younger quarterbacks more playing time in those games.Instead we keep bringing in quarterbacks that we hope will keep us winning for one year while setting the others on the bench.
Again I will say there is nothing like real game time experience.Practice reps against the first team Griz defense are not that.

I think the solution is a 3 QB offense. That way you can get a younger guy some game time without all the pressure. You could recruit fewer WRs and TEs and more OL.

That could work.Sounds like a good idea.I am for it. Like I said before what the problem is we must always win. Well I can say the crowd was very pleased to see Ah Yat play a few reps last season as was I. I am just using Ay Hat as an example but it could be the others QB's also.

No and they have lost because of it.
I can't believe we have to go over this again, but nearly every team at this level loses when their starter goes down and they play other top teams. It's not a problem of not developing them enough. Any QB that is good enough to start, but doesn't, isn't gonna stick around long.

If they need Ah Yat (or any young QB) to win games for them, they will find ways to play him against FCS teams. This happens every year. I don't understand why we need to have an exhibition game against a dogshit NAIA team nobody wants to watch so that we can see Keali'i throw all over the worst defense he's seen since high school. He does not get better by doing that. Your entire premise is flawed.

The crowd likes the younger Quarterbacks. At least those quaterbacks know what the Brawl of the Wild is.
The Brawl of the Wild is a newer corporate name for the game that has gone by several names in the last few decades. Acting like knowing the name is super important is really dumb. Bobby was right when he said it doesn't matter what they call it, it was an ass kicking. Your irrational hatred of McDowell continues on, I see.

I am not talking about last years games.I am talking more about past seasons.

We do not need an exhibition game , what we need is to find a way to develop the young quaterbacks.I was just using that to show that we are not developing our young quarterbacks and to see what ideas would work to do so.

You don’t understand. We should play an NAIA team and ALSO get the exposure we would get for playing an FBS team on FS1. Thats why postgame the circus is the best way.

It's not the name that is important it is the fact the leader of the team has no clue what it was called and the fact was he did not care.
