Not sure that would be the first guess of most.

I guess’d Huot because he’s the youngest and most likely for a position change. If he sticks around and the Oregon kid wins the job, Huot won’t start until his Sr year. Next year will be Britt’s 3rd year in the system and a better chance of starting over the Oregon kid. Yes Kris Brown is likely also but I’ve already mentally checked him out of the equation. I see Lucas starting this year, Britt/Abbott starting in ‘23-‘25, and if Huot sticks around, he’ll start as a Sr in ‘26. That is if another more talented QB doesn’t show up in the next four years.

Not sure this guess would sway my belief that he would not be the first guess of most. My guess is you might be the only one with that guess.

I’m sure your implying that most might guess Brown but like I said, I’d already mentally crossed him out of the equation. He is already as good as gone in my eyes. Brown is not gonna be able to succeed at another position except maybe a blocking TE. We’ve definitely seen him take on many DL and LB’s and “take” them down to the ground with repeated success.

My guess is this isn't a logical decision, just a guess. But my guess could be incorrect, since of course, a guess is just a guess.

All of a sudden, the QB room seems to be overflowing with riches! But with injuries and the transfer portal, those riches can disappear quickly............ :evil:

Hauck usually only has 4 QBs on the roster, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a departure.

I'll let people guess who they think it might be (because I don't know lol).

I don’t believe he has since he came back. There were 6 listed on the 2018 roster, but I believe Hennessy and Harris left the team after fall camp because they were told they didn’t have a spot for them.

I’d like to see all 5 of them stick around, though. I’m just not sure I see it happening.

Who’s to say he’s not going to be better than Abbott? Don’t really care what his “hudl” tape shows. Everybody can be made to look like a superstar on a highlight film. Maybe we should wait and see what they all have before we start moving people out.

Dad was a beast except for injuries. I still have an old Griz football card of his with his signature on it. Got a Tim Hauck, Mike Rankin, and a Shannon Caubonoc card signed too. Had a banner with about 50 sigs on it from players from 86-89 but the sun faded em all from hanging on my wall.

It will be good to have a Ray back in the program. I have run into Jason a few times at Griz football games over the years. We knew each other from playing rugby against each other when he had just graduated and was playing for the Maggots.

In his Yakima article he says he’s most comfortable at center but had to play tackle later as he got older.
