Can anyone give a brief summary of all the QB's with their +'s and -'s? Does Brown have the out right experience in the system? Did Johnson's FBS experience shine? Is Daniel Britt the gamer they say he is? I believe Rostad was moved to linebacker, does he have the ability to make an impact there?

Johnson - still learning the system but getting better in it. Well built, big, good runner. Appears to have good on-field leadership skills. Throws well on the run. Faster than he looks. "Floats" a few too many passes that gets his targets blown up, throws off his back foot at times, relies a little too much on running on pass plays when options 1 and 2 are covered or not open early.

Brown - Strong arm, players like him, knows the system the best. Has maybe one of the better touches on his passes when he's on target. Doesn't float too many passes, fires bullets. Of the QB group, the least mobile (not that he isn't though). Seems "stuck" in progression to this untrained fans eyes, starting experience last year hasn't seemed to boost his performance this spring. Too many interceptions still.

Britt - The best pure passer (IMO). Fires darts, great ball placement all over the field, doesn't panic in heavy pressure. Quick runner, probably keeps his eyes on targets the best when plays break down. Seems to have that type of swagger you want in a QB. Makes a lot of mistakes young QBs make, too turnover prone right now. Height *could* be a slight concern for this system, not to me, but may for the coaches.

thanks for your input b/w,,.......,,always appreciate it.... :thumb:

It was pretty clear that had the defenders had to actually tackle Johnson, that he could have run for a lot of yardage. Arm tackles aren't going to get this guy.

At this point—in your opinion—who do you think the starter will be in the fall? I personally thought they brought in Johnson to be the starter, and Britt is the long term starter at QB. Of course, Huot is in the equation, but Brown looked like a deer in the head lights last year. What do you think?

I agree with this. He looked fast live and the whistle was real quick (which is good). He is actually bigger in person than I envisioned.
