He is a very intriguing prospect. I would like to see some of his senior film. 6’7” and 235 right now. He put on 20 pounds this past year by working hard in the weight room I hear from my Butte people. Good basketball player. I think you can do a lot with him. First, he has good enough film to start out as a TE but OL or even DE could be a possibility for him.

I was worried that Cats might get him. I think someone on here mentioned the Cats offered a full and we didn’t. Not sure if that is accurate or not but interesting if true.

It's true, Olson added 20 lbs from last year in quality weight, he is lean, strong and athletic; great ball skills (tracking and has huge hands) and great footwork. Through 3 games this season he has 13 catches. Would have a few more if opposing defenses wouldn't tackle him/interfere with him as he is breaking free as the ball is halfway there. Lol. Stud.

The Griz want him to threaten defenses:

“The Griz coaches said there’s not a whole lot of big, tall safeties and cornerbacks that will get in my way,” Olson said."

He has been a good AA Varsity Center in basketball player since he was a Fr...I've seen him score 26 pts, last year.

The Cats did offer Jake a full-ride. It came 3 weeks after the Griz offer.

Yea, I heard Cats were talking to him too, but heard the Griz coaches weren’t going to let him get away. I know his uncle pretty well and I would guess he was involved. Just a guess though. His Twitter shows he was in Colorado looking at CU too. Excited to see him kick with that cannon in Griz uniform. Watched him in SWX against Laurel last Friday. Went 5-5 averaging 68-70 yards on touchbacks and 4-4 on extra points. No field goal attempts. Man can this kid drop a bomb like I have never seen in a high school kicker. Yea, I’m biased, but Capser is the real deal and Griz got him.

The Griz upped their initial Jake Olson full-tuition offer to a full-ride and Jake accepted. Great kid and family!

I know there’s not a ton of schollies left to distribute, especially with most of the senior class sticking around for next year, but I’d say this class needs to add:

1 RB
2 more OL
2 interior DL
1 LB (at least)
2 CB
1 S
And maybe another QB...
