2021-22 University of Montana Mens Basketball Recruiting

2019 Class 0 D1 recruits
2020 Class 2 Rollie (we already know the story) Abe Johnson Army
2021 Class 1 Alex Germer msu
2022 Class 1 Rett Reynolds Griz

I didn't count walkons or guys who transfered down. The pickings are slim. Wish he would do a walkon again but a couple they offered took full rides at NAIA level, which I don't blame them for. Montana is not a D1 basketball factory.

It is a preferred walk on position. Great kid, hard worker. Not sure he is D1 yet but with more hard work could be.
 
A couple you can take off the list:
Elijah Saunders committed to San Diego St., and Koren Johnson has narrowed his list to 3 (SDSU, UW, Az)
 
Dublin high 2023 courtney anderson made his official visit this past weekend as well as BJ davis from modesto Christian!
 
I would hold off on high school or juco or post-grad program recruits since pretty much every D1 program waits to see what they can get out of the transfer portal or give to it before they look at players with no-college playing experience vs those with some, etc.

No problem. I live close to Big Sky. Think I'll try to catch a few of the Eagles' home games this season. Going strictly by memory here... ;), so correct me if I've missed someone... but, I think Mr. Bateman is just the second Big Sky male hooper to commit to the Griz, the first being Larry Krystkowiak. (there've been several from Big Sky who were Lady Griz).

Did Bateman go to Big Sky all 4 years? If so, he would be the first Griz hoopster from Big Sky to do so. Krysko started at Shelby and McGowan started at Alberton

Watched him vs. Missoula Sentinel last night. Very unimpressed. Think he got to three points all in final quarter and maybe 3 or 4 rebounds. Big Sky blocked off on FT's and shot them like a 5th grade girls YMCA team!

...and to think the Griz didn't recruit Andy Garland!
