2017 Vim's Montana High School Football Recruiting List

If you guys want to follow my Montana High School team breakdowns each week, go to the High School Athletics forum on Bobcatnation. I will post there each week. Here are my Preseason/Week 1 rankings and picks: http://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38371.

Turner RB from Glacier needs to be in the top 50. He is over 100 yards rushing and had a reception for a TD vs Helena Highon the road.

Glacier 35-7 in the forth.

Sulser ends up with 11 catches, for 156 yards and 3 tds. Nate Dick finished with 118 rushing yards, 214 passing yards and 5 total tds.

He's going to be a good one and should be in the top 50 for 2018.

Sulsar is only a junior I think.

2018 recruit. Very good first start...no doubt.

Sulser will be the best player in the 2018 class and is already garnering significant interest from Pac-12, Mountain West, and even some Big 12 schools. Size will likely be the deciding factor in whether those bigger schools give him an offer. If he stays in state, family ties put him with the Griz. Has been a Griz fan for a while. Both in-state schools have already offered I do believe.

Yeah, big Griz family. Sister runs track for the Griz, think she is a junior.

Today Jace Stokes (#33 on your recruit list) ran for over 280 yards in the Havre vs Whitefish game. He's a repeat State A champion wrestler. I don't know him personally, but I understand he is interested in playing football for the Griz. Looks like he's headed for a special year.

3 time state wrestling champ...really good kid!

The only knock on Jase is his speed. I mean it is the ONLY knock. Everything else (work ethic, strength, size) checks the box. Pretty pumped to see him do that well yesterday considering how underrated he was coming into this season.

Nice work on the highschool football breakdown Vim. I'd seriously consider moving Butte off the bottom of the AA pile though. The freshmen and sophomores that patched the team together the past couple seasons are juniors and seniors now and have a LOT of varsity experience compared to their peers. They appear to be much improved. I look forward to seeing your updates next week!

Lets just see how they do against Sentinel this weekend. I understand your excitement though. I was worried Skyview was going to be a little overrated. We will definitely know for sure after their 3rd game against Bozeman.

Yeah. I don't expect them to dominate Bozeman. At least it's played in Butte this year.

Keaton Anderson's first game of his senior season against Sentinel. He is doing a good job of backing up my #1 ranking!

Again, Gabe Sulser is a junior so I will mostly be talking about 2017 recruits on this board. Anyway, other than Keaton Anderson, Nate Dick, and Luke Poetzl (OL/DL), another kid to keep an eye on is Max Clarke out of Billings Senior. He is a little lower in my rankings but he is 6'2", 200 lbs. and he plays strong safety (Anderson plays FS). Clarke really should be an OLB but he still makes plenty of plays and can lay the wood when he wants to. Bigger than Anderson but not as smooth of an athlete.
