One of Tadan Gilman's interview quotes with Skyline Sports:

“As much as the Griz has had success in the past, the ‘Cats, how much different they approach the player, when I went to individual camps, I went to both of them and when I was down in Bozeman, every single coach was jumping around and hyped up,” Gilman said. “The Griz, as much experience as they have, I didn’t feel that same connection and energetic feel that I felt with the Bobcats.”

So coaching ability should be measured by how high they can jump?

That's what you take from this? Not too insightful are you.

You're getting f'ing owned in recruiting. Mic drop.
Please explain looks pretty even between the two collie boy

See hav's post above. Dipshit.
We got four you got three Montana commits , two with very strong ties to msu that's really owning us ! Like I said so far it's even on instate recruiting griz slightly ahead ! Vimsince 03 AKA Kane Ione will change his rankings to fit where the kids have committed !

Wow. I believe everyone on here got disgruntled when I had Troy Andersen as my 6th best player when I put out my first set of rankings in April (because I was waiting on his track results). So if I move him up, is that a Bobcat bias even though most on here thought he deserved a higher ranking. And I'm pretty damn high on Braydon Deming and Matt Rensvold. I move around players all the time and there is always a reason. Again, two years ago when the Griz got the bit in-state recruits, all of them were in my top 4. If you say I'm bias, so be it. I call it as I see it and I ask around on these kids a lot to get various opinions.

The bobs can spunk all over themselves about these verbals, but the only reason they have verbaled to the bobs is because the Griz have not offered yet! Most of these kids will play their senior season and get other offers and end up somewhere else. If a kid is offered the same amount and chooses msu over the Griz he is either interested in a engineering degree or an Ag degree. With all the facilities and winning record favoring the Griz it only makes sense that if a kid has verbaled to the cats he hasn't been offered by the Griz yet. They are just getting excited over these early verbals because they can't talk about their preseason #1 accolades this year! Mike Drop!!!!

You literally have no idea what you're talking about with this. All three of those kids had Montana offers

And two of the three are legacy Cats. It's as simple as that.

And the third is a friend of one of the legacies...

That being said, I do wish they were all Griz, but since they are not just let them mature in Boozeman and see what happens.

So about a year ago I wanted the discussion to increase on in-state kids because they don't really get much attention from any sort of media outlet other than a Billings Gazette or other local newspaper preseason preview. It is July 26 and both of the fan boards already have a collective 450 posts discussing the kids who have the potential to sign in 2017. Mission accomplished so far! :thumb:

For real, good work Vim. All of these young Montanans deserve the extra attention for their on-field achievements. Thanks for your hard work compiling information and generating insightful discussion.

Mission accomplished. Don't let our mods discourage you from posting this information on this board. The Cats are killing it so far. People will say its not a big deal because they are "Cat legagy recruits." It is a big deal because Anderson and Hashley are complete studs. Congrats

Nobody's arguing whether or not they're studs. But come on, we had virtually NO chance to land those two, so to congratulate the 'scats for "killing it" by landing two guys who were virtually GUARANTEED to go there over the Griz is really just dumb. Scat recruiting efforts had VERY little to do with their choice....their fathers forced them to go there.

Recruiting efforts had a lot to do with them going there actually as their fathers let them choose. Getting Tadan Gilman had everything to do with the Cats recruiting efforts. Give credit where credit is due.

OK. :? Color me shocked, SHOCKED, I say, that two Scat legacy kids would go Scats over Griz. I'm sure it's due to Choate's recruiting genius and not because of how they've been brainwashed for years. Now if somehow the Griz HAD turned them, THAT would be shocking...almost as shocking as the Griz regularly reaching into Bozeman to grab studs from that area.
