you won't see a FBS team in 2016 because they are looking for a home game to complete the schedule...

Shit. I knew it. They're scheduling MSU as a second non-conference game aren't they?BWahlberg said:It's going to be a D2 school
Oh, please God, no!!!!!!!BWahlberg said:It's going to be a D2 school
EverettGriz said:Sad as it is, I think I'd prefer a DII game to scheduling one of the other 19 BSC schools as a noncon.
Thanks again, Commish!! Doing a bang-up job!!
havgrizfan said:Again, they don't want to play Montana in a one-off. They want home-and homes with Montana coming their way first. It's unfortunate, but it's the way it goes. Haslam has tried hard, trust me. But he ran into a brick wall, as pretty much every FCS squad he wanted on the schedule refused to come to Missoula in 2016. Even the Northern Iowa thing was a struggle as they aren't coming to Missoula until 2018.

Thanks again, Engstrom, for insisting that the Dakota schools get invited.

WTF???
There aren't Dakata schools. Although at least they'd make f***[*] sense. Psu. Unc. Even Davis and poly, two great programs, don't make sense.
I thought SUU was "at the top of the conference this year" but how many people care.... CPSLO 8945, UND 7486, SacSt 6636, UC Davis 6121, PSU 4583, UNC 4207, SUU 3261. 2014 numbers. Big time.PlayerRep said:Yes, I know there aren't "Dakata" schools, but there are Dakota schools. North Dakota. Ever heard of them. And Engstrom was the one who called South Dakota to give them their invitation.
Davis and Cal Poly made great sense, and are very good academic and good football additions. They enhance the quality of the Big Sky, and are the 2 best academic schools in the Big Sky. Otherwise, they probably may have gone to the WAC. Wasn't PSU at the top of the conference this year? Not good enough for you?
havgrizfan said:So, teams that beat the s--t out of the Griz are actually not good enough to play the Griz? Interesting logic.
Hampton would be vastly preferable to a pud D2 team. Lets hope the AD shows some interest in a competitive schedule and respect for Griz football fans in his decision.ColoGriz said:According to the AFCA website, Hampton University (FCS) is looking for a 2016 home or away game on 9/17 (http://www.afca.com/article/article.php?id=18&page=2). So it seems likely they'd be willing to play at Wash-Griz. Not clear if they're looking for a return date but I'd imagine this one is on Haslem's radar.
