Not a good comparison. unbanked indoor track early in the season. Bobo could end up one of the best guy sprinters at Montana in a long time. He had some amazing high school times as well that he has yet to match. Taking nothing from Daum cause he's a speedster too and could have run track.

Bobo ran a 21.82 outdoors on April 19th, 2014 at the Beach Invitational (a large meet).

Daum ran 21.70 outdoors a month later...

Daum has been and still is faster than Bobo.

Season Records for Bobo

100 Meters
2013 Outdoor 12 10.89aw (Sr)

200 Meters
2013 Outdoor 12 22.12a (Sr)

Season Records for Daum

100 Meters
2014 Outdoor 11 10.66a (Jr)

200 Meters
2014 Outdoor 11 21.70a (Jr)

Don't care what anyone say's, 10.66 and 21.70 is fast, super glad he's a Griz! We seriously need to fix our return game.

I am with you. He reminds me of one of my favorite grizzlies. Jefferson Heidelberg. He ran some smoking times as well. I still wish we could have red shirted him. I hope we can redshirt Daum if all the other receivers stay healthy.

Toby Keith's son who plays d-line is here on an official this weekend.

That's cool. His dad was a pretty good athlete, his sister isn't any slacker and has a beautiful voice to boot. I have run into Toby a couple times over the years in Cabo. He's just another guy on vacation. Very down to earth. Would be neat if Stelen could contribute to the team.

Nice article by the missoulian about this weekend and who's visiting.

Hrmmmmm, didn't know about the ten scholarships yet to offer. Interesting, guess I should pay a little closer attention. I thought we were down to less than five.
Yeah. What do you think of that? I wonder if more guys are leaving the program?

I wouldn't say that just yet. I just haven't kept track that's all.

The way I read that article it may be saying, UM has 10 full ride scholarships to offer (in total) rather than 10 remaining to offer.

Just to clarify, it meant 10 scholarships total. I'll make the clarification in the story when I get to the office

There is no way that number is correct. The grizzlies lost 17 seniors from the 2014 team, and with others leaving (there are always some), the number will be around 20-23 verbal not including walk on verbal.

Aren't scholarships divided up at the FCS level? So maybe 10 full is what was freed up at the start of recruiting from the 17 departing seniors.

10 total scholarships available doesn't seem to compute, given how many they already have committed to guys plus offers still outstanding. It certainly doesn't seem right that they would still have 10 remaining either though.

Chances are likely there will be a few expected returnees transferring, or hanging their cleats up. Usually we don't know who those players are until after spring ball. It is a matter of time before some egrizzer leaks out who those players are. :thumb:

10 is the number, that's straight out of the mouth of Justin Green. They're down 4 from their usual amount. Also the number of guys they verbal isn't indicative of the amount of scholarships. Academic schollies are being heavily relied upon and FCS isn't head-count, so they can be broken up and dispursed in creative ways

Just like some of the Egriz posters. Some leave and new posters come on and are playing next season. We are very strong in numbers.

I'd leak out who should leave but that would not be fair. So until the 4th of Feb. we will just wait. In fact I doubt if many Egriz' will leave!

I understand Green used the number ten Kyle. I was just confused....and maybe still am a little what that number means. You are saying going into this recruiting season we HAD ten athletic full scholarships to hand out of split up various ways?

Kyle,
It is more likely that the griz have 10 left then there were only 10 available. I guarantee that you miss understood the coach.
