2015 Griz Football Recruiting- 4 Transfers/ 17 Verbals/ 4 WO's

UM had 16 seniors not 17 and two of those guys for sure did not have full athletic scholarships. So if the others did, that's 14 freed up, minus the 4 from the self-imposed sanctions that's 10....anyway they can split up what they have in anyway they want, but judging by the class they're bring in and what I've been told by commits, a lot
Of these guys are getting full aid

there is no minus 4. the minus four was put in at the start of last year. so we started at 59 last year and the 16 seniors that made up 10 total scholarships departed. very few players actually get 100%/full scholarships in f.c.s. if what the coach told you was true, then there were probably a total of 10 schols split up among those 16 players.

based on your other posts you should just quit posting until you study up on this stuff. how are old are you? are you a reporter? if so, just report and don't try to clear up your mistakes until you research all the facts. the best thing to do in this case would be to just say, hey that's what the coach said and leave it that, because it became obvious you don't know what you're talking about.

here's a little starter kit. http://recruiting-101.com/i-got-an-offer-from-a-division-i-aa-fcs-football-program-what-does-that-mean-financially/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The four lost scholarships don't really equate to four because the Griz don't ever max out 62 full schollies anyway. And even if it did, the full brunt of the four schollies wouldn't affect this class alone - it would be spread out over all of the classes. It's not like four scholarships were dropped from the program from last year's senior class to this year's freshman class. Just my two cents anyway.

This is a fantastic class. Congratulations to all the new Griz and the coaches for putting this class together. Go Griz!!

i think we may have found someone who knows less than kyle. it's 63, not 62. the reason we and many schools don't use all 63 is because things happen during the course of the year to draw that number down. some schools don't max out because they don't have the money for 63. i doubt many schools just allot all 63 if they don't have to as most are fiscally responsible that way. just because we are down four schols that doesn't change. i would say we're more apt to allot the 59 we have now than we were to allot all 63, but some things are beyond control and we're probably alloting less than the 59 we have.

Does anyone have a good list of recruits who they think might stay?
i've heard kam johnson and holden ryan are drawing late interest. i think the rest, including mau ena, villanava and sirmon, will stay put.

Thanks getgrizzy, 63, not 62. My bad. The point remains the same however.

The Super Bowl will have no 5 star recruits starting. But will feature 20 starters with a 2 star or lower rating. Stars don't determine you!

No of course stars don't determine you, that just mean that others think you're dang good. And although I don't worry much about stars at our level, we're putting together a college football team, not an NFL one, and the best teams in college get alot of recruits with alot of stars. Fact!

Those rating high school student-athletes often over look talent in states like Montana. We have seen often with student-athletes playing for the Griz.

At this level I am more concerned about their work ethic, coaching reception, character and desire to contribute to the team for championships, not any number of stars behind their name. How many of our NFL players had stars?
