I hope they offer Rooks because it appears he wants to be a Griz.

I was thinking the same thing. Great (witty) attitude. Great player as well.

Just a quick little tidbit...exactly two weeks ago, at the msu open (7 teams)...the 200 was won by UM's Dominique Bobo in a time of 22.4. Griz verbal WR Dalton Daum, as Junior in high school at the state meet, ran a 21.7 in the finals.

That is pretty impressive. However, I don't think you can translate indoor to outdoor very well. Aren't there more curves in the indoor 200?

Not a good comparison. unbanked indoor track early in the season. Bobo could end up one of the best guy sprinters at Montana in a long time. He had some amazing high school times as well that he has yet to match. Taking nothing from Daum cause he's a speedster too and could have run track.

I'm aware of both their best times. I follow track closely. I simply was pointing out that taking one of Bobo's slower 200 times even though it was a winning time wasn't really a fair comparison to Daum's pr. What you're showing is that their best 200 times are very close, which is my point.

Who cares about track. LOL. The guy who holds every receiving record at UM never stepped foot on a track a day in his life in high school. Just sayin' :)

Wrong.

Everyone knows you aren't fast without proof in the form of a legit, hand-timed 100m, 200m, 40 yard dash, or run-out-the-back-door-of-the-Mo-Club time. :coffee:

Yes, Steven Keith Covel. He's 6-2, 260. Played both DT and OG at Cassady High School in Oklahoma City.

He was originally being recruited to go to Mines. A teammate of his just committed to Mines.

Toby Keith's son who plays d-line is here on an official this weekend.

Gonna have to bite your lip when his dad fires off "Shoulda Been A Cowboy" @ his next Zoo Town performance.

I ran into a die hard Griz fan in the Msla bar (he was buzzed) and he began talking saying it's the amount of 3 and 4 star recruits we lose that make's us great. The more we lose the better we are. After I finished my drink I slinked outside and the cool air made me wonder how nutty us Montana fans are.

You bastard! It was your turn to buy drinks.

Thanks for the info. Well good for him. If the kid can play I say welcome to Griz Nation.
I'd like to see some more linemen in this class to round things out. :ugeek:
