2013 Griz Poster: UNITED

Unfortunately that poster is already out of date.... the Bobcat logo has been updated. 8-) Maybe Brint can get MSU to chip in the money to replace these posters too? ;)

Roll Call:

Who gives a sh*t?

I like this poster. Ours was more of a campaign with players giving their thoughts on "Destruction" via social media, thus it's not really comparing apples to apples with your poster. However, I do have to give you props on this.

On a separate note, this is the first time I've looked at your guy's schedule. :o Holy smokes. App will be tough and a road game against UND will be tough. Then you have two defending BSC co-champions back to back followed by a road game at Sac. Although the 3 of the toughest first 5 games are at home which will certainly help you out, that's a brutal opening schedule. Road games at NAU and UCD will be challenging, and yours truly will be a tough road game whether you want to believe it or not. Yikes. Anyway sorry to derail.

I kind of wish we had a greater amount of tougher games earlier in the year (fear we will not improve as greatly as other teams throughout the year). Then again, it might help to build confidence if we can get through the first half of the year with a 4-2 or better record.

I think we get UND, OK Panhandle, PSU, and UC Davis (UND because it will be a huge revenge game and I don't think our secondary does that bad again). App State is a revenge/hype game and they are traveling all the way across the country so there might even be a win there, as well. All I can do is hope the guys treat NAU as a huge revenge game because they really did not match up well or have any answer for NAU's offense last year. Honestly, I wouldn't be totally surprised with a 6-0 start (very pleased though  ).

Then, the first three weeks of the 2nd half of the season are a different story and will be the toughest stretch...

Good idea but poorly executed. On a wall, unless you are right next to it, the Montana blends in leaving just the "UNITED" as readable. Plus a better font could have been used for the UNITED.

If that is up on a wall and you are 10 feet or so away from it, don't really think the average person or even the casual fan will instantly think UM football.

Like I said, I like the idea, but the execution was severely lacking.
Gribrokebacker got the broke pe.ker :ban: ...not sure about the maroon pants? looking kinda plain, but I need to see them outside in daylight. my first impression is where is the bling? :|

Why are we AT ND again? Didn't we travel there last year too?

I could be mistaken, but I believe this year's game is "non-conference" as well.
This year's game is non-conference and the back end of the home and home for which UND visited Montana on 11/13/2010. We are also there next year for the third year in a row for a conference game. Like the 13 team conference??

I've contacted the U a few times about being interested in helping do their posters, but I've never heard anything back. Kinda sucks when I did a fun one for Ohio State last season and it had over 10,000 retweets, as well as having 4 of the 5 players on it repost it. Best part was having Urban Meyer's wife post it as well. Guess I'm not good enough for Montana.

This is what I did:

That's what I'm talking about! Care to do one for this year's Griz? I'd love to have a new background since the U decided to put out an unbelievably dull one.

Willie's OSU poster in ten times the poster design-wise that UNITED is. Like some have said, the slogan itself is inspiring and appropriate, but the design and visual concept itself is lackluster. Not bad, but I expect more from a program that considers itself "first class".

I might be able to throw one together this year. Only problem is working with low-res photos. The ones I used for the OSU one were sent to me by a sideline photographer for the Bucks. I take quite a few photos for Chris for eGriz, but mine are mostly fan shots not action shots.

grizfilmer has a bunch posted here:http://mtmediaplus.com/~mtmedi6/montana-grizzly-football-2012. Maybe he'd be willing to give you the files for a few?

Gonna do what the University did...and tease a little with each part I finish. So here ya go:
