I'm really hoping he didn't blame the staff. He has a great track record of blaming players, and there is no reason to stop that now, when the writing is on the wall. He will probably go with Prekop, or whomever it was that took the helmet-to-helmet hit.

I highly doubt it. I read somewhere he's a hell of a nose tackle and is likely to be pivotal to the cats defense becoming stellar.

Very true. Do you think Ron steps down now, or at season's end? It seems like the right thing to do is step down now, after taking nine years to realize you are in over your head.

Even if he resigned, they'd refuse it. This is Montana State, not South Carolina. Been NINE years??? Christ, Read did ten, but thats the ONLY comparison. :lol:

I just looked at BN and they agree its time for Ron to go. :lol:

I've never said this before because usually I'd like to think I'm a fairly calm fan. But Rob Ash needs to do the right thing and resign. He is not benefitting MSU anymore. He has done so much good for this program and I respect all he has done. But he isn't the coach that is going to take us places. He knows it, the players know it, we know it. I'd love to see Tim Cramsey take over as interim HC, and then a national search beginning very soon. It is perfect timing with us playing East Tennessee State this week. God Bless, they are garbage and we will win no matter what. Gives the new HC time to get his barring straight. Ash has done a ton for the program, absolutely no denying that. But he needs to do the best thing for it, and him staying isn't it.

What I've read is that Ash gave the offensive coordinator full control of the offense last year. This year he brought in a new defensive coordinator. I hear he spends the majority of his time in his office sipping chardonnay and looking at potential retirement properties in Costa Rica.
