I'm gonna go out on a limb and make a bold statement:

PSU will NOT score TD's on each of it's first 7 drives against the Griz.

Agreed...

Nope, nor should they. You have some defense in Missoula...your offense sucks but not your defense which will keep you more games than a stellar offense.
Catsrback, are you over here for shelter from the shit storm?

Both places are a shitstorm. And there's good reason for it.

Hate to give credit to a cat fan, but ltcf was right...having Yates in the middle has really rejuvenated this cat D.

Now that was funny. He went on and on and on and on about that. I was thinking the whole time that anyone who thinks one player can be a game changer is nuts. I could buy into that theory if we are talking QB but not one d lineman.

I just can't get over how PSU's O-line blew the scat D-line back 3-5 yards EVERY SINGLE running play....their back was 3-4 yards beyond the line of scrimmage before he ever got touched...repeatedly....THAT'S how you average 7.3 yards per carry....

Love you long time,

When you were gone a guy named Tad was here looking for you. He looked frustrated so I figured he was either a bill collector or a former lover. I told him that I haven't seen you here in months and you had possibly been band for life.

You're Welcome!

This...is the worse defense I've ever seen MSU field. Worst than Solomonson era teams. They are so bad that they cannot be called "defensive"...or even mildly resistant! It's time for a complete defensive change and for the fan to expect 3 years of bad Bobcat football. Next year a senior O-Line leaves and our prolific offense will sputter...our defense will...not defend. This in fact might be the beginning of the end of the Ash era leading to his retirement or promotion to AD....that's how bad this defense is!

Kane is clearly not the answer to the defensive coordinator job. Sad to say because the kids like him, we like him, he is a Bobcat hall of famer ... but he has lost control of the car and it looks like it is going to be a big crash.

That falls on Ash. I think Tim Cramsey would be a great head coach and Eck maybe can stick around...but I think if I were a coach on the staff I would be looking forward to a different future out of expediency.

This year, no playoffs, no BSC title, and a much tougher Brawl than it ever should because we'll make Stitt's offense look like it's NFL quality
Wombats give "meltdown" a whole new meaning, Chernobyl quality. They ran into a rejuvinated Portland State team. That's all. It's interesting to see a program that surely did not achieve quality by its recruiting strengths -- "we may not be here in two years" -- no tradition to speak of, and yet put together a team firing on all cylinders.

I was imagining all of them posting last night wearing antebellum dresses complete with hand fans and white gloves. Most were over-served on mint juleps and experiencing intermittent fainting spells. I actually read the posts aloud with a southern accent.

I'm a sadistic bastard but it's fun.

With all the “heat and discontent” about the MSU defense, I wondered just how bad they were. (As you all know, I love numbers.)

Take heart, kittie faithful (?), there are five teams worse than yours in giving up yards. NCAA data has MSU at #118 in total defense, giving up 487.2 yards per game (276.0 of that being rushing yards). And, BTW, one team that’s worse is EWU -- they rank #121, giving up 528.0 ypg (318.3 rushing). [UM is #43, giving up a total of 355.5 ypg.]

Things look slightly better in terms of scoring defense. There are twenty teams worse than MSU. You’re #103 in scoring defense, giving up 36.3 points per game. Two teams that are worse include: EWU (#112 at 39.7 ppg) and Idaho State (#116 at 42.9 ppg). [UM is #37 in scoring defense, giving up 22.8 ppg]

So things could be worse … lots worse. You could be a Missouri State fan. Their team is next to last in total defense (allowing 552.2 ypg) and last in scoring defense, giving up 52.2 ppg. :o Which is why they’re 1-4, with their only win being over Chadron State, 21-13. (MSU fans remember Chadron State, I believe. :) )

Yuck. Missouri State played an FBS team, I think. I bet Missouri State rocks a big M on their helmets to try to be something they aren't.

Yep, they played Memphis in their first game. The Tigers hung 63 points on Mizzou State, but it was two FCS opponents that rang up 70 points or more on them. Ouch!
