That wasn't a prevent defense. Prevent defenses don't have three linebackers on the field. It was some wishy-washy defense Ty Gregorak dreamed up. Had he kept 4 d-lineman in and brought in two extra d-backs, with Gamboa as a middle linebacker as a spy/zone in the middle of the field Adams has harder time stepping up to make that last throw. Plus an extra d-back to keep up with the recievers. No doubt it's on the safties getting beat deep, but they could have been put in a better position to succeed. We probably have the best pass rush in the league, and he cripples it.
 
Listening to Gregorak does not inspire confidence. Is he always so "overly excited", and scattered...Doesn't seem to have a clue..........
 
Had to run my sister to the tire shop after Burke's TD. Great drive there. They used quick passing to get that TD. Who's been saying that this game and all year?

Disappointing to see our Defense give up a TD to end the half. Our Defense has not been real bad, somehow every year EWU has playmaking WR's that come up big more often than not. All 3 of their TD's were terrific catches.

Let's get it done GRIZ. Personnel wise, this is a great match up. Unfortunately, EWU has the better play calling and coaching. GO GRIZ!!!!

Not as far as their offense is concerned, thought we would move at will also but didn't factor the game plan in.

Agreed. Stop them the following play, and the Griz have a great chance to at least tie the game.

I may have gotten the downs wrong but my intent was to opine that the odds of our offense scoring with little time left should not have resulted in giving EWU more time with the ball. They may have scored anyway, but, given our performance on offense, I felt we would be lucky going into half with only a three point deficit - and saving EWU time and a timeout was not a smart call.
