#11 Montana @ #5 Eastern Washington Game Thread

That scoring drive is on Ty Gregorak. His idea of matching up with 4 and 5 wide is to pull a d-lineman off the field for an extra d-back, and leave all three linebackers. He can't even figure out how to match up personnel. That's sad for a D-1 coordinator. ESPECIALLY in an obvious passing situation. He learned nothing from last year, save for maybe having a spy on Adams.

poor coverage by hermensen, his only responsibility is no one over the top of him,,,might say piss poor....

He isn't....uh.....having a good game.

you are so right azgrizfan and on top of that we were playing zone all the way and 19 seconds left in the half.......you have to be in the game mentally .....I mean geez.....

Really think "prevent defense" is effective against a guy like VA, especially with the talent we have up front.
It's the offense that everyone should be pissed about.

If we get beat today NO BSC championship and most likely no play off. We are about to build a 14 million $ Champions Center and that will do what with this coaching staff? You can have great facilities but kids want to win too. This project gets built it deserves a fresh start with a new head coach.

No it is simply our lack of offense. If we could modernize our offense we would be walking through these teams. What a wasted year. Even if we get pushed into a play-off game we won't stand a chance.

This is about what I expected. There is always hope that big plays will happen but the reality is we are not a great team. On the road we are very average. We can play a great game but it is not the norm to do so. We got 3 points in two trips to the red zone. Dropped passes and predictable game calls. Poor defense in the secondary. It is what it is.

They have the better QB, better receivers and dare I say it, the better coach. We can hope for a big second half but face it.....that has happened much this season. I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I think it is realistic.

All that I said.........their is always hope! Go Griz!!

For the most part people are. It just sticks in some peoples craw when the D goes "prevent." Prevent D prevents Ws. It's not being aggressive.

Don't worry, it will.

Cal Poly and ISU about to kick off. Better root for Cal Poly....if we can get ISU to lose to CP and MSU they would be eliminated from playoff consideration....
Cal Poly will not beat ISU. I think ISU will bury them.

Credit Delaney with another brilliant coaching move in calling timeout between third and fourth down on EWU's last possession. Let's give the Eagles more time to score if they make the first down, which odds are better than 50-50 they will. And even if they don't, what are the odds are 'quick strike' defense will score with less than two minutes left in the half. The staff should have been more than satisfied to go to half with EWU only holding a three point lead. Just stellar coaching.

Well, it is not over yet. I tend to agree with your statement but maybe, UM has "hit bottom" as they say and now, a new coaching staff or at least, philosophy, can begin rebuild on a strong base. Teams lose and that is fine. But, it is the way UM has lost that is bothersome. Rarely outplayed, but nearly always a poor game plan. UM has not been a winner against a ranked team in FCS in years...If, by some luck, they win this game, that could be the first step back to the top...

The announcer is saying that Montana "has to establish its running game." Jesus, I hope Mick isn't listening.

Serious question: How many times did we run it on the TD series?

he actually called timeout between 3rd and 1st down...and it made sense because he planned on getting the ball back with a chance to score...he just screwed the pooch by getting to passive
