Spot on. The term demographic contraction applies to our aging fan base. Our state is aging many indeed opting for comforts of available home viewing. The ‘younger crowd’ simply does not have the passion our older base grew up with. My kids friends are fairly ambivalent about sports in general. I’ve been doing Griz sports since early 70’s and continue to do it live at wa Griz and Adams. Go Griz.
Agreed about the younger generation. I blame their parents.
My kids tried about every sport played in these parts. Gymnastics, swimming, football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, martial arts. The only one they stuck with was martial arts where my daughter is a second degree black belt in tae kwan do and a blue belt I think in judo. Once they got into high school they got so busy that they quit going. I think there are a lot more options for activities than there were when I was a kid. Plus we are raising a generation of kids who have extremely wel?l developed thumbs.
Your last sentence is certainly true.
