He had a game winning one handed catch against UI in Martin stadium that year as well.....clutch!
That happened 7 yards from us in the west end zone we were hanging over the rail when UIs DB tackled him and he still made the catch. Miller was money that day!

What was the score of the streak breaking Cat Griz game played at
Washington Griz Stadium in 2002?

Funny stuff. You and I must have been sitting very close to eachother. Great game. Everyone was dialed in on offense that day.

Joe Douglass in the fourth quarter in Cheney in 96...Already covered in mud, Griz trailing for like the 10th time in the game. Ah Yat threw it to the front left pylon. Looked incomplete then Smokin Joe comes out of nowhere, diving finger tip grab into the slop for the game-winner. Saved the perfect regular season.

Side note: We make fun of EWU's stadium now. The current stadium is a PALACE compared to what it was like back in those days. Blue Pony Stadium was 10 times nicer than EWU's back then.

I was the loud drunk guy. I remember walking out of that stadium some guy took a swing at my friend because we were saying how nice it was they decorated the stadium in maroon and silver because it was OUR HOUSE and the Vandals were lucky we had a home game and chose to play them.

Very fun game

Single biggest win in the history of your team.[/quote

In the last decade plus, I won't argue. The three national championships are probably a little bigger in the history of the program though.

Greeeaatttt. ANOTHER MSU poster who has no interest in talking football, only interest in ancient history. Geeez, that's original.

FYP
Sorry, I couldn't help myself after seeing the title of this thread. Carry on Griz fans, I will go back to being a spectator.

I was there too, not in the endzone though, on the 5 yard line of that side of the field though.

Ha, unfortunately I wasn't there. But my 13, weird to say that now, year-old self had his head buried under a pillow because I was too nervous to watch. Had to have my dad tell me what happened so I could watch the replay :thumb: .

All good posts and great memories of great recievers and great passes. However, this pass from JJ to Ellis was so perfect it couldn't be dropped. It landed in Ellis's hands, not too high, not too low, not too hard, not too soft but just perfect. Anyone who has never played the game could have caught this pass, it was that great. Yes, I was impressed!

Ha, I was 19 at the time, with my girlfriend (now my wife) and it was probably only the 2nd or 3rd Griz game she'd ever been to, and her 1st road game. I remember having beers with Idaho fans after the game who were pissed that Idaho let Jimmy Farris get away from them.

BTW - back on the original topic, GF95, I liked the photo you put up on MB.com

Not entirely impossible, Jabin Sambrano 25 Yd Pass From Andrew Selle vs App, in the snow, perfect over the shoulder pass in the endzone. That was epic

Yep best pass hands down I've ever seen from a griz player, also giving the magnitude of the event. Selle just gave a beautiful flick of the wrist and it couldn't have been better.
Agree 100% and Jay the word EPIC is applicable in this case. One of the best moments in all of Griz football.

"Jabin Sambrano owns Missoula!" Easily the best pass and catch I've ever seen, in the best game I've ever been to. It may be time to watch it again.

Still get chills every time I watch the highlight of that one. The student section was absolutely beside itself...

Thanks Wahlberg! Wish I had a bit (okay, a lot) more graphical skills but wanted to put something together.
