Not a surprise since North Dakota is so much smaller than Montana, not only geographically but by population.

2024 Population Estimates ( US Census Bureau, World Population Review )

Montana: 1,137,000
North Dakota: 796,568
Difference: 340, 432

Montana by population is 43% bigger than North Dakota.

North Dakota also has a few less mountains ⛰️ than Montana ....but it's close. : ) !!!

Ndsu's opponents so far this year are 32-33, the rest of their season the opponents combined record are 18-14 ..

Ndsu is 4-0 against ranked teams this year with a combined score 167-53..

Montanas' record against division one teams this year so far is 25-31 ..

Montanas' future opponents have a combined record of 13-19..

Montana has played only one ranked division one team on the latest stats poll and that's u.n.d. so that makes them 1-0

I would say ndsu record stand up very favorably with montanas'

South Dakota is getting boat raced this weekend. The MVFC is clearly the UND Fighting Hawks on top and everyone is competing for second place as best. There is nothing I am more confident in than a 5+ td win against USD this weekend and against NDSU next weekend.
