Trying to follow your logic on this is insane. Were you drunk at the time you schemed this up? Either way, you are skewing numbers that are mostly meaningless. There is one common opponent thus far. NDSU beat Indiana State 38-7, Montana won 63-20 and then you want to add a once rank team that NDSU played that is no longer ranked and ignore one for Montana in the same category.Counting only division one games ..
Ndsu's opponents so far this year are 32-33, the rest of their season the opponents combined record are 18-14 ..
Ndsu is 4-0 against ranked teams this year with a combined score 167-53..
Montanas' record against division one teams this year so far is 25-31 ..
Montanas' future opponents have a combined record of 13-19..
Montana has played only one ranked division one team on the latest stats poll and that's u.n.d. so that makes them 1-0
I would say ndsu record stand up very favorably with montanas'
If we're to use your formulas, Central Washington comes out on paper well ahead of both Citadel and Tennessee State.
At the end of the day, none of the numbers you present mean a thing.
On paper, NDSU is the better team, but if the two meet up, the paper doesn't matter.
