Is eGriz becoming a dominant message board?

We have to be just dominating on every conceivable metric. Post counts, troll counts, insane post counts, incoherent rambling counts, posts made in all caps, everything - there is no way anyone else is even close.

Do the Cats even have a single tier one caricatur-I mean poster? I'll admit SAC is kind of funny, iltc is almost painfully polite at times, and 2506's penchant for gay pornography is amusing, but there isn't really anything that can touch any of our top guys. EWU has BlackFalkin, but he seldom makes his presence known. NDSU has JBB and lakesbison and MPLSBISON, but it's a pretty significant drop-off after that. Everyone else has like 14 fans total so it goes without saying that it's a complete mismatch compared to us.

eGriz on the other hand? Unparalleled depth and the ability to reload. We lose a character like Growler or Alpha, and without missing a beat some other insane person steps in to fill their void. Bitching out Reese Phillips on Twitter? We have that guy. Thousands of posts all composed in "zen?" He's doing it in his sleep. A mod who is simultaneously the biggest asshat troll of all time? Still going strong. Some guy (apparently) throwing literal shit onto the playing field? Someone get that man an eGriz account.

And of course our ultimate trump card: PlayerRep. His catalog of work speaks for itself. The dude has somehow coined at least five hundred idioms still in use to this day. There was some insane lawyer a few years ago named Obie (Georgia Southern maybe?), but even that guy flamed out in record time. Whereas PR has been burning steadily for decades now.

I say we move up to the next level of message boards. Shaggy Bevo? Tiger Droppings? We need to aspire to that level of craziness.

I think once all of the lines have fallen through the bottom of the graph it starts to lose its utility
 
If there was another Griz board nobody would post here with all the football devoid clowns that think they are funny. There isn't one thread on here that doesn't fall apart because of posters like argh, cda, ursus or all weather. These clowns add nothing and wreck everything they touch.

Can any of the magicians here on egriz make the shaggybevo (old U Texas fan forum that is no longer in existence) MS Paint U Texas - USC story from years ago appear again? I can't find it on the internets.

If so, egriz earns the "dominant" descriptor.

Maybe later, but it may be best left to the past. Lack of image hosting turns those classic threads into pale imitations of their former glory. Like here:

Try again, Ursa. He is simply Eric G from Missoula, who, despite being brand new to the board, has quickly developed many opinions regarding the post history of multiple users. Eric G from Missoula is indeed a "Griz Stud" in that he has gone from brand new poster to namecalling in the fewest amount of posts since Evers. It's as though Eric G from Missoula has been here for years already.

And the other thing is, Eric G uses phrases that are quite unique, and to my knowledge, have only been used by one other poster in the history of eGriz. Phrases such as "self-flagellation" and "devoid." It's almost like Eric G is trying to be somebody else!

Agreed. I think it's awesome that a new poster would spend the time doing the due diligence by going back and reading years of posts before he actually wrote his first post. To get a lay of the land and truly understand the context of the board. I'm sure that's where he picked up those phrases. Welcome Eric G. from Missoula! I'm sure you'll be a great addition to eGriz. :clap: :clap:
