Yes, NDSU planned for it. I assume they will pull it off and do well. But, I'm sorry $10 million isn't some incredible donor raise, and NDSU is in a different position than MSU and UM. And NDSU didn't have to bring UND with them/ They have more access to money than UM. They don't have to move their sports other than football. Their fans were falling off due to boredom. They were in a position where they needed to consider doing something. They can expand their seating and sell more tickets, presumably at a higher price. UM is closer to being maxed out with attendance and prices, I am told. Good for them.
Many of us read the study at the time. Brint helped me do our own study, which was done ahead of the feasibility study for UM. The UM study validated the one Brint and I did.Maxed out with attendance and prices? Thats according to our loser AD.
UM has ONE Conference Championship in the last SEVENTEEN YEARS. But .. we consistently sell out and always have incredible season ticket numbers.
I’d love to see an audit of that feasibility study.
Maxed out? Ha! Loserville!
Show us the feasibility study to move up or even the feasibility study to improve WA Griz stadium that’s been talked about for years.Just agree that you don't know what you are talking about and that you are wrong.
Show us the feasibility study not the back of a napkin study. Look at what NDSU and what current FCs teams are doing. Would you rather see Griz play Hawaii, unlv or central WA or Drake. Many of us read the study at the time. Brint helped me do our own study, which was done ahead of the feasibility study for UM. I said "closer" to being maxed out. Try to read and comprehend better. UM ticket prices are high already. Yes, UM could add a few more thousand, but not like 10,000. Adding 10,000 would be a big chunk of financing a move-up. And, there's the risk of losing attendance if UM loses too many games. Are you another windmill chaser and pie-in-the-sky guy?

Look them up yourself. Ask UM for them. Are you lazy or stupid?Show us the feasibility study to move up or even the feasibility study to improve WA Griz stadium that’s been talked about for years.
Time will tell
I like who the Griz play now and the FCS playoffs.Show us the feasibility study not the back of a napkin study. Look at what NDSU and what current FCs teams are doing. Would you rather see Griz play Hawaii, unlv or central WA or Drake.
Our excellent AD is the professional with the information to make that judgement, not you.Maxed out with attendance and prices? Thats according to our loser AD.
Jack you challenge people all of the time to substantiate their claims, but then you can't do it...are YOU lazy or stupid?Look them up yourself. Ask UM for them. Are you lazy or stupid?
Central Washington likes who they play now and the D2 playoffs.I like who the Griz play now and the FCS playoffs.
We aren't CWU or D2. What is your point?Central Washington likes who they play now and the D2 playoffs.
Some are comfortable being where they are and some are taking active steps to move up. We can either be Central Washington or Ferris State. The choice is in the hands of the decision makers. I'm hoping President Shinn is forward looking and realizes the benefits of FBS football and a more competitive conference for our other sports. We aren't CWU or D2. What is your point?

A $175k home run aka a unicorn.MSU just spent 20 years grinding, building, chipping away towards a greater goal. They just won a national championship, Are continuing to raise a lot of money.
While we’re like “geez, looks like we’re getting close to being maxed out”. Is MSU thinking they’re getting maxed out? Did they think that when their program was at rock bottom?
Kent Haslam has won 1 BSC title in his time at UM and he’s saying our fan base is maxed out. Really? That’s the problem moving forward?
Just can’t believe so many of you don’t see the many problems ahead.
Bobby Kennedy better be a home run.
Maxed out refers to stadium capacity and ticket prices. MSU doesn’t have as big of a stadium nor do they sell anywhere near what UM sells for tickets. So, being way smaller, they have room to grow their attendance and related revenue. Do you have a comprehension problem, or are you just a complainer?MSU just spent 20 years grinding, building, chipping away towards a greater goal. Ask UM. The feasibility study is old but in the public domain. You want this stuff. I don’t. You find it. Why don’t you contact Kent Haslam. He knows what they have and what could be given to you. Are do you hat want to complain on the internet? It’s no where to be found on the athletics website. There is no master plan on the athletics website, show us would love to read it
FBS is a football only designation. This post is misleading and inaccurate.Seems clear certain people are content playing and being peers with Central Washington, UT-Tech and Northern Colorado instead of Wyoming, NDSU, Air Force etc. No point arguing with individuals who are content with what I view as stagnation. As mentioned by others I hope the new President bare minimum does whatever he can to get us into FBS as a Football only, seems to be most financially feasible and doesn't require us to add sports.
