New field turf

I think the turf looks great. I know there's been discussion about the white outline around the grizzly but it stands out better now, whereas previously the edges were hard to see.

I've been rewatching some of last year's games and it was noticeable to me how worn the turf was from the field level shots. I think it was definitely time.

And yes, Mount Sentinel looks amazing right now. By fall, not so much...but I'm always just happy if there's no forest fires when I get up there for a game.

I dont have too much of a problem with the sponsor logo as they are supporting the university and deserve to be seen (#bsc logo is a different matter but I do like symmetry).

If the Griz logo was bigger it would probably look better all around. Google says college hashmarks are 40 feet apart so currently the logo is about 40ft tall by about 30ft wide. I would like to see future versions be more like 1.25x larger or so...so, at least 50ft tall by 37.5ft wide. But maybe then the hashtags and 45 yard lines would be covered so maybe that's why they don't do it larger now?

....actually, just picturing only an extra yard wider towards each end zone and only 5 feet over each of the hastags might not be enough to be noticeable...might have to be 1.5x bigger! Haha
 
When someone gives you a badly needed gift, just be grateful and don’t find ways to judge and criticize. It means money from ticket revenue, other donor and event funding etc can be utilized elsewhere. And we have numerous “elsewhere’s” that are in need.

what, i can't have an opinion on the paint job? it's nice that somebody donated the money for the field, but the initial question posited was 'thoughts?', and i gave my thoughts on the aesthetics, nothing else.

Same size as before. Issue is the white outline. It does make the bear pop which i like but it makes him look smaller. Before when the outline didn't stand out, the bear looked bigger cus it blended into the grass but now there's a distinct border.
 
It’s almost as bad as our white basketball court which makes watching our players in home white jerseys impossible to watch.

Everything this athletic dept touches gets worse.
