A couple new coaches

Randy is a good coach and has some good experience with moving a team up from the current level to the upper level. Interesting start to Corey’s career with dad and he’s clearly got good experience after working with his dad. I’m good with some of the FBS ties that this staff has.
Maybe Randy would come over for a year as an analyst like Scott Linehan did to get some more time with his son.

DB COACH CHRIS KOLAREVIC: how does this guy fit in because it seems like an odd hire unless possibly he is an assistant ? He does not have much experience.

The griz hire a guy with one year coaching experience at a JC level to be the defensive backs coach. The griz had no defensive back coach in 2025. It seems like a very odd hire.

The new coach will assist the corner coach and safety coach. He’s 26. What’s so odd about that?

Read the articles. He was a LB coach last year, not corners. You would learn more if you did some research.
No kidding.
This is a guy who punched well above his weight while he was playing for Nebraska. He is high energy. My guess is his trajectory upward in coaching is going to be quick...

I " listened " to the interview several times and he did did not say he was a DB coach but said he was a linebacker coach. His bio said he had one year of experience at coaching but he did not say that in the interview. You keep reading more into it and trying to twist it to prove you are right. He actually has NO experience as a DB coach. I am not sure who hired this guy and why but if this hire is any indication of the other hires the Griz are in BIG trouble.

Playing at Nebraska does not make one a coach.

Interesting how posters try to justify this hire instead of questioning it. But I guess that is what homers do. If it were not for me calling this out it would just slide right on by. The Griz are a top tier FCS program not some JC in no where Iowa. The Griz are in desperate need of stronger recruiting and coaching on the defense. To hire someone with little to no experience is not professional.
