Just voted into the Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame.

My question: Why now?

Haslam: “One of the best players in the history of the Big Sky.”

My question: Who was better?

If I were Richardson’s family I’d tell them to go f’ themselves.

Damien Lillard might be better but I'm not a basketball fan.

Typical of the graceless clumsy way a second-rate conference operates. Does Lillard have to die 50 years from now to achieve this modest honor of being the best of a second-rate conference?

Why did Sugar? Or Sojurner? Why now?

Maybe righting or wrong? Or would you rather it just stay wrong.

If you’re going to “right a wrong,” how about identifying the “wrong.”

In 2013, per his Wiki page, Richardson was voted in 2013 as the 31st best male athlete in Big Sky history.

Gimme a break! Anybody who saw him play knows that’s absurd.

Lillard blossomed as a pro. As far as the Big Sky goes, I’m not sure he was better than Richardson.

The Big Sky did him wrong. Ass backward, second rate conference, that’s the “wrong.”

I agree. It’s a shame they waited this long and he has passed away and didn’t receive recognition in person. But I bet with all the trials that he overcame he rarely thought about it. But yes why did it take so long ?

Same could be said of Willie Sojourner.

There were some epic battles between Bruce Collins and Michael Ray Richardson. They came along a few years after Willie.

I don't know what the leagues rules are for entrance to the HOF, or how individuals are submitted for consideration, but it may have nothing to do with the conference's side of things.

Because Hall of Fames like to induct only a few a year so they get some spotlight and recognition.

You'd probably induct 50 or so the first year....

Do you live in the California whine country?

It’s been too long for both MRR and Sojourner - no question about it.

I’m just remembering Fat Dad’s “Michael…Ray…Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrichardson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” booming over the public address system.

And it’s making me smile.

Why does Weber get all the great basketball names? Willie Sojourner, Sessions Harlan, Justus Thigpen and Harold “The Show” Arceneaux. Are you kidding me? How can we compete with those?

AI Answer: You cain’t, Sucker.
