The only couple practices I saw he wasnt participating either... was curious if BW saw something different... On paper I don't doubt at all that he could take that role... huge frame coming from a power 4 school. Perhaps the staff is very high on him... haven't been able to attend any of the qb club events with kids' baseball in full swing! Ill run it by my brother to get his thoughts.

Going off a hunch that the staff is hoping to have some of these transfers elevated at OL and the spring camp - especially the 2nd half of it - was testing out all sorts of guys at different spots.
Did you see him get reps? My assumption was he wasn't dressed all spring, but thats a limited sample size as I didnt see much.
Didn't but I think the tackle opposite of Buehler is the spot that still seems in need of the most attention so I'm hoping he can help anchor that.
Id love it if hes the guy... prototype body for it. Assuming he can add 20 lbs and has good feet.

You know... safety feels pretty wide open to me outside of Orlandi who (to me) has shown he needs to be on the field a lot. Boyd and Cutler have the experience and it shows but I noticed the backups getting a ton of reps and making some plays.
The tough read here is that in his introduction press conference Eric Sanders said he wasn't going to run a true depth chart this fall and rotate a ton of guys / groups to see how they work together. I like what I see from a lot of our DB transfers.
Interior guys are probably all 280ish save Bailey who's closer to 300. Edge guys all in a 250-265 range.

I think, we're underestimating Fall and Gentry (depending on his injury recovery).
I hear great things of our overall DBs.

Boyd has worked hard to be listed as a potential starter. I hope he is. Albeit, he needs to minimize the mistakes,I.E- blown coverage such as we saw in the last game LY.
