MBBALL 2026 Big Sky Conference Transfer Tracker (New and Improved 2026 Model!)

If I had to guess right now, my money would be on MSU and UNC as the front runners. UM and Weber would be next up. I feel that Weber has the most talented roster in the league, but they are young and thrown together quickly. There is a lot to be said for continuity and familiarity. The big question mark is Weber's new coach. It will certainly be interesting.

I wanna see what we do with our final roster spot before I rank the Big Sky next year. If we get the big guy that those of us have had our eye on for some time, then I'll like our chances to win the Big Sky next year.

You just never know. Some guys just prosper when given the opportunity. Last year things looked great for Griz but then Betts was injured and didn't really play and Anderson missed good share of season just when he started to hit his stride.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but NAU has one returning scholarship player and according to VC has not signed anybody so far. They must be holding out for the fifth year seniors and the zero cost guys from the portal. Definitely a late, complete rebuild going on in Flagstaff. I wouldn't want to be in coach Burchar's shoes right about now. Looks to me like they have a lot riding on the NCAA decisions.

Looks to me like everyone else in the BSC have brought in some good players. Better than most years.
Rumor has it there is a big shakeup coming with NAU athletics. Perhaps dropping down in divisions. There is very little interest in the two major sports there. Their football and basketball teams play before empty houses. Will be interesting to see what develops in Flagstaff.

No way they drop to D2 with being a national power in Track & Field and Cross Country.

You are right. Much can ride on a single player in basketball. Weber has three spots to fill yet as well. Who knows, even NAU could put together a winner over the next few months. Injuries and team dynamics can jump up and bite you in the butt at any point in a season. In the end, talent and coaching usually win out.

I’d be surprised if Rudolph didn’t see run. Others have been quick to point out the shooting numbers, which is true. But the guy led Hutch (nationally reputable JUCO) in minutes played and started 16 games his FR year at a D-1 program.

Going off his tape, it looks like he has exceptional burst. He’s good at getting to the rim and finding someone or finishing, and his point-of-attack defense looks pretty polished. Not only are those skills that Travis has historically loved in his guards (look no further than B-Whit), but it’s something we gravely missed on last years team. His 35% from 3 last season also shows at least some hope that he can improve from the foul line.

I would hope that Travis isn’t going into this season with one true Center. And an unproven one at that. All it’d take is one injury or foul trouble and you’re needlessly taking yourself out of games.

I see 2 guys that are somewhat capable of playing post. Mpiana and Aguino. And I see one big wing who has the size, athleticism, and the strength to play some 4 - Sanders. That’s just not enough beef.

No it’s not and they have at least one more roster spot.

A few points
1. UM went with 14 man roster in 25-26.
2. Staff could have their last commit or they have offers out to a list of players and they have little concerns in filling that position based upon their understanding.
3. They could also see Sanders as a post. That would leave them thinner than last year w/ depth (I kept forgetting we had Taylor last year), but there is a world they feel really comfortable with Aguino, Mpiana, Jedkins and Sanders holding down the post.

-- I would love to see my wishes of a Miles Goodman type coming through the door but I'm not going to hold my breath. He was a guy that made sense to me as an outside observer, but rarely in this world do those type of alignments come to fruition. The portal market for mobile bigs is absolutely absurd this year. Lots of guys who are making a killing despite being multiple transfer back bench guys with like two minutes of playing time over their career are getting swallowed up because they are 6'11''. Crazy times my friend.

Saw his assist to TO ratio was very strong. He was brought in to run point, be a floor general, and not turn over the rock.

You're missing Amari jedkins. 6'7", highly athletic 4. Can swing 5 easily if he builds strength in the off season. But hes very bouncy.

Didn’t include him because he’s sub-200. I’m skeptical of his ability to defend true bigs and keep them off the glass. I don’t have those concerns for Mpiana, Aguino, or Sanders. Mpiana is self-explanatory, Aguino and Sanders are 6’6/6’7 but both are north of 220. Jedkins I see as a weird tweener. Not a true 3 or a true 4.

I just remember watching NDSU and Oakland go at the Griz mercilessly in the paint this year and us being able to do absolutely nothing about it. And then giving up 13 offensive rebounds in the Conference Championship to Idaho, 15 to PSU, and 11 to UNC all in Boise. I want some beef. Hopefully the staff has the same concern.

Two things:

It would appear we've completely given up on HS recruiting (and maybe that's just the way it is)

And we have so much roster turnover now it's very difficult to root for any of these kids. Basically a whole new team every year. Sad, really. Certainly changes fandom...

We have two high school kids coming in. One of which is good enough to potentially play next year.
