As always, thanks for the write up Brint to give us Griz fans outside of Missoula and Montana a little bit of insight into spring ball.
In the RB run, Gillman will be the elite runner he is and Hashim Jones will be a great compliment. However, don't forget about Dylan Paine. He could surprise some people.
I'm with you Brint, Sage Salopek should be a standout this year. He jumped off the screen when I watched his Hudl film this past year. I also like Colton Lentz and the Beaner Brothers.
I'm also optimistic Bridges and the other WRs will put in the work during the rest of spring camp and in the offseason on jugs machines, practicing tightly contested catches, working with Ah Yat to build trust, watching film with the intent to start, and talking to Coach Price and Coach Pease and other coaches on where they need to improve. The last part of the previous position could be for every player at every position.
As you say, it all starts up front with the DL and OL. I think we all know where we stand with DL and are optimistic the young bucks on the OL will bow out and show out. They've been in the program long enough to get them prepped physically and mentally. Now is the time for them to step up and take the bull by the horns and break down the door and make a statement that says "I demand to play Oline."
We also have transfers coming in that could/should break down the door and make a statement. Jack D'Ambra is one I'm looking forward to see how he does.
DOLA
It's the work the Griz do in the offseason starting at 6am on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday that will make the difference during the season.
