I'm not sure why DeCuire didn't have him as part of the rotation before injury. I really like him.Betts is about the only one with much fire out there...

Yep, Hicks. My mistake.Yeah I think he meant to say Hicks. You are correct, Betts hardly played at all. Hicks is the one I could see leaving.
I think part of the reason he is turning the ball over so much this year is because of the team around him. Yes, we do have good players but I don't think every player on our roster is cut out for D1 basketball. It always helps to have a strong supporting cast. I saw a post today from a former hockey goaltender. He was talking about how he played on the varsity team and let up 5 goals, but the next day he played on the JV team and posted a shutout. He attributed this to the fact that the JV players were motivated and played hard defense. If our team played better together and put in more effort, both offensively and defensively, Money would probably turn the ball over less. The key to stopping the Griz is to shut Money down which is easy to do if you don't need to worry about anyone other than maybe Tejon Sawyer or Brooklyn Hicks. Bringing in this amount of transfers worked last year, but this year they don't seem to work as well together and that is negatively impacting the team and is showing in game. Hopefully the team can work to trust each other and build a little bit of chemistry in this next week and get revenge on UNC in Boise.Money is soo frustrating........
Maybe I bought into the early hype.
Maybe I just wanted to see another Griz have a chance at the NBA.
Young man has been through soo much tragedy I respect the hell out of him, I just have a hard time watching him turn the ball over every game.
Agreed. I think if these guys had played more together they might be on the same page. Often money is making a great pass expecting a guy to cut, but that guy just doesn't cut.I think part of the reason he is turning the ball over so much this year is because of the team around him. Sure they can. If the Montana team that beat UNLV and nearly knocked off A&M and swept PSU shows up to Boise, then they absolutely can win this tournament. But if the Montana team that lost to Tech and got swept by Eastern and the cats shows up to Boise, then they're gonna bow out to UNC in the first game. This team at times this year has played up to their potential, but more often than not they haven't. The question is can they lock in for three days and rinse the bad taste out of their mouth from the regular season? Who knows with this team. I wouldn't write the Griz off cause the entire league has been Jekyl and Hyde all year, but I certainly wouldn't consider the Griz to be the favorites going into it.24 - Montana isn't one of the 5 or 6 who can win the tourney.
In theory you are right. They have looked like a team that just doesn't want to be out there the last month or so. Which is pretty shocking for a TDC squad. I was seriously thinking about a tourney journey in January. Now........Sure they can. As sad as the Big Sky is, there are 8-10 conferences that are even weaker ... we've looked in on some of their games, and there's very little prime talent. Not none, there are a few bright spots here and there. Kind of a mixed blessing, really. If the BSC rep got a play-in games against one of those really weak opponents, they could probably win a Big Dance game. Most likely, as usual, the conference rep will likely get fed to a ranked Power-5 opponent....
To me its an absolute crap shoot with no team in the conference that wins the BSC tournament probably gets off the 16 line minus maybe Portland State. Just a mid conference full of a lot of mid teams.
Loving how we are attacking the rim and not settling for threes, keep that upLol! That's a prom date foul. Just keep your hands to yourself. Old guys got a ton of sayings
