Sac to the Mac

Judging from Colters Haslem interview, Montana is basically holding out for the P4 to separate themselves from the rest and the leftovers invite the FCS to join them so like maybe 2035 or so.

Such a flawed philosophy, let's wait another 4-5 years and hope for the P4 to split. What if the don't split, than what. If they do split, what is UM master's plan to upgrade facilities to be invited. Look around at what NDSU did, what North Dakota just did with their new facilities or Tarleton State just updated.

Didnt ndsu have to pay a $5m exit fee plus $12-13 entrance fee? I think they dont get any revenue share from the conference for the 1st five years as well.

Definitely flawed if you had intent to put forth an effort for a move up. Actions AND non actions tell you most of what you need to know about someones desires and intentions. Montana leadership has zero desire or intentions to put forth any extra effort for a move up. If theres anyone that fact is not obvious to by now, they clearly have blinders on to the U's non action on this front.

If the griz wait that long, FCS will be D2. All decent teams will have made the jump. In 5 years I guarantee all the Dakota teams will be FBS and any other decent team.

It's not the PAC like Dr. Wood wanted but he delivered on FBS status. All the haters can line up for their serving of crow. As I said in one of the other numerous Sac to FBS threads you guys started, markets matter and Dr. Wood leveraged that and the West Coast time slot for a MAC invite. Some universities have visionary leadership, while others do not.

At least you all can continue to enjoy your home tilts against Central Washington, Oklahoma Panhandle State and the other directional JV schools as you take L after L from your big brothers in Bozeman...assuming they don't get a move up call as well. At least you will have Utah Tech and Southern Utah to keep company in conference play.

Enjoy life in the JV ranks in perpetuity.

You guys are now in a much worse spot than you were.

Hopefully you don't turn into an MAC doormat, that would really suck for you.
 
What an absolute joke!

The MAC is swirling around the drain, about to collapse, and Suck State buys their way into all of that? How many of these teams end up back in the FCS before its all over with?

Football only membership, for all that coin? Playing Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays two time zones away?

Brilliant move Woody. You brought the stingers up to the big leagues for sure.
