Hauck not staying retired redefines his legacy

The only way it redefines his legacy is if he grabs a bunch of players or a few key ones to go to Champagn as well.

I have decided my fellow Griz fans are idiots!!!!!!
First Hauck probably wanted to get out of the state and away from the Rivalry
No matter where he went in the state a Moron Griz fan would bring up the loses to the cats.
If no Griz fan was around an idiot Bobcat would be around to make a stupid esggcg chant!

Anyone with half a brain could look at the entire career Mr. Hauck had and realize he was a huge bonus to the Program!

Maybe some will think differently of him. Does he give two shits? No. Has he ever given two shits about what people think? No. He is no longer a Grizzly, so I am not quite sure why people care?

Most wins in UM history. Most wins in Big Sky history. Not sure how moving up and getting a raise changes that?

My thoughts exactly. This is idiotic.

Good grief. Wasn't is clear when Hauck resigned that he was tired of being a head coach? Sure sounded like the door was wide open for an assistant's job.
Also very on brand for a guy who has hired several assistants with head coaching experience.
If you were this sour on your wife after 20 years, I'd suggest getting your back waxed and buying a convertable.

This shit is funny. Rainey is reporting Hauck instantly had a number of options to keep coaching, including NFL and others FBS.

Hauck literally says “I love football. I don’t know what I’ll be doing next or if I’ll be coaching somewhere else. But I do know one thing…I won’t be a head coach anywhere but here”

Then Egriz acts shocked, surprised, and hurt when he does exactly what he stated. Anyone thinking he wouldn’t go coach somewhere else wasn’t paying attention.

The only thing that surprised me in any of this was going the defensive coordinator route. I honestly thought he’d be jumping into the NFL within a week or two as a special team‘s guy.

I agree with your last para. Looks like the Ill coach wants the 3-3-5.

Coach Hauck, by taking the DC job in Champaign, Illinois, redefines his 2.0 legacy by losing to his heated rival twice in the same year, and that rival winning the national championship. Pretty sad ending in my book.
What is sad Tim? Going 13-2 with the two losses being to the national champion isn't a total failure.

But then maybe you are the top guy on your job where no one is there to analyze every detail of every decision you make.
